Cheddar Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY!!!! This was the BEST ranch dip ever! I refer to it as the "pimped out" ranch dip. Instead of sour cream, though, I used fat free plain Greek yogurt. PHENOMINAL recipe!

Quinoa with Peas and Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
We are just beginning to venture out and eat helthier "rice type" things. I like quinoa and made this for the family. I used a 28 oz can of the tomatoes and they were fantastic roasted in the oven...don't skip that step, it makes a big difference. And I added a little more parm cheese than the recipe stated. and used fat free half and half. I had it on the side of a pork dinner and it was even better the next day. Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
This is a FABULOUS soup! Things I did differntly: First I doubled the recipe and I added 3 stalks of chopped up celery, used skim milk instead of half and half cream, and I didn't cook the onions before hand. I also used the Hormel bacon pieces but did not put them in the crockpot...just put them on the side and let the family put their own in their soup. I absolutely LOVE the dill flavor and the evaporated milk made all the difference! I ahve made this a few times and will continue to make it! Thank you for the recipe!!! MMM MMM good! OH, and I served it with cheddar cheese, bacon and broken up pieces of crusty bread...delicious!

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
These were really good but I was hoping for more of a peanut butter flavor. I followed the recipe exactly with no substitutions. I will definitely keep the recipe but see how I can get the peanut butter flavor to come out more in it. Also, the next day, they really aren't chewy, which I was hoping for a more soft-baked cookie...

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
My family LOVED these. I agree with some of the other reviews concerning the salt. I will not add as much salt the next time. I actually tripled this recipe as there are five of us and refrigerated leftovers are a MUST for the next day. I added 4TBS of sugar and a tsp of vanilla and mini chocolate chips. FABULOUS! Thanks for the recipe!

Hot Fudge Sauce II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
mmmmmm this is fantastic over peppermint stick ice cream! I didn't have cream but I did have fat free half and half which I used and as suggested by another person, I only added about 3/4 cup of the fat free half and half. It was perfect and chocolaty! I was very skeptical as my mom used to use it making one of the canned milk ones. It is really nice to have a chocolate sauce recipe to use tha requires everything (basically) I have on hand!

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
This was fantastic! A few changes...I used a package of turkey bacon instead of ham. I chopped it up and cooked it in a pan. I added the chopped onion and some chopped pepper to the bacon and cooked for a few minutes. I also didn't use a whole 2 lbs of the hash browns but probably 1 2/3 of the 2 lb bag. And I didn't have cream of mushroom so I used cream of potato. I also added 1/4 cup fat free half and half. It was so yummy! Everyone loved it...even my super picky husband! Thanks for the recipe!!!

Swedish Meatballs II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
There is NOTHING bad about these meatballs! I will make these many times over! They are fantastic! I think they key to moist meatballs is to sautee the onions in a little butter. The flavor of these meatballs is fantastic! I actually forgot to add the nutmeg but they are still so yummy! As another reviewer had done, I actually used cream of chicken soup and milk for the sauce. I also used ground turkey instead of the beef. And after I sauteed the meatballs in the skillet, I threw them in the crock pot to cook with the sauce. What a fantastic and quick meal to make for my family. Thanks!

White Chocolate-Cranberry Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I am new to making biscotti. This was such an easy recipe! I didn't realize the dough would spread so I had all three "loaves" on one sheet. They were just crowded and thankfully didn't run into each other. Next time I will use two cookie sheets. They were very crumbly when I was trying to cut them so I "lost" a few and had to eat them. I added a whole cup of cranberries because I love them so much in bakes goods. Next time when I cook them, I will keep it at 350 but after I cut them and cook them a second time, I will reduce the heat to 250 because they got darker than I wanted them to get. I will use this again and again! Thanks!

Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
The recipe states "stir in additional water." There was only the warm water, 1/3 cup, listed in the ingredients. I didn't notice this until I was half way through preparing it. So I added a cup of water for my additional water and then the flour and salt. I added a LOT more salt, 2 tsp. I added lemon rind and rosemary to the top after brushing it with olive oil. My kids LOVE taking this bread as a sandwich to school! Thanks for the recipe!

This was rich and fantastic! My mother in law loved it as she was on a gluten free diet for a while. She enjoyed this so much! I made a chocolate ganache to pour over the top! It was heaven!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This was delicious! However, all of the batter wouldn't fit in my tube pan. I had to put the leftover batter into a loaf pan. So I got a whole tube pan cake as well as a small (it was only filled 1/2 way) loaf pan pound cake. It was raved over! Thank you so much! I will be using this recipe over and over again!

Awesome Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
These were fantastic! I bought a bag of already shredded cabbage and put some shredded carrots in even though they are already in the cabbage mix. I had Phyllo dough on hand so I used that instead of the egg roll wrappers. If I used two pieces of phyllo, they stayed together and came out fantastic! I will definitely make this again...actually, New Year's! Thanks OH, and I baked mine at 375 for about 15-20 minutes!

Broccoli Beef II

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
This was a fantastic recipe! I made this for my family and we all gobbled it up! Even our three children! I left out the ginger only because I didn't have any. I made it a second time substituting beef anf beef broth for chicken and chicken broth. I'm making it again on Friday and will double the brocolli because we fight over who gets it. Adding more will make us not have to fight over who gets it! Thanks for this recipe!
