Vegetarian Chickpea Curry with Turnips

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
I made this for dinner tonight. I didn't have turnips on hand so I didn't add those. I added carrots. I used tomato sauce as in the recipe list and I think this is important to get the right consistency rather than those who have suggested using diced tomatoes. I served with jasmine rice. It was delicious!

Coconut Cream Cake I

good flavor. when i poured the sweetened condensed milk mixture on, it didn't all seep in which seemed like a waste of the rest of it

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
i used this for cupcakes, but they seemed to stick to the paper muffin cups i used. not sure if its the recipe or me but seemed strange. Also, it turned out more bread like than cake like.

Cream Cheese Corn Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
good, a little bland, but a nice change from just stacking up a pile of corn on the side of the plates

Durbin Hotel Sugar Cream Pie

this is excellent and not too heavy. Next time I make it I plan to put fresh fruit around the top, because I think the combination will be great.

very good, moist. I cooked them for about 8 1/2 minutes as another reviewer suggested and that was right on.

Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
the picture was nice, but it was horrible. My husband and nephew agreed it looked like something they'd feed their dog. I appreciated the recipe because it used ingredients I had on hand. I was really looking forward to it, but this isn't quality food.

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This was delicious - even my carnivorous husband liked it. I did add some chicken to it, and used black beans b/c that was what I had on hand. I added some egg noodles and carrots as well. I pureed half of the black beans and a few of the carrots, and that gave a nice consistency.

Erin's Indonesian Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I left the chile paste out, but that left it needing another spice or something. If you have any suggestions let me know. Other than that it was good!

Alfredo Sauce

this was not as creamy as I was hoping for. It also needs some additional spice, its fairly bland, though maybe it just depends on the type of cheese you use...

Indian Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
This was good. I probably needed to let it simmer longer (I was in a bit of a hurry), but the flavors and spices were definitely a good combination. My husband said it smelled like an Indian restaurant when he walked in the kitchen. I guess that's a good sign!
