I started cooking a number of years ago, taught by one of my mother's close friends. He gave me a subscription to Cook's Magazine and I began with recipes from there. Now, I am always in search of new recipes to try!! I was recently given a copy of the 75th Anniversary Edition of The Joy of Cooking. I plan to start making my way through the thousands of recipes in there...every page holds a new kitchen secret just waiting to be revealed!

My cooking triumphs
After much consideration, I decided to try homemade croissants. I read through dozens of recipes and finally settled on one. After hours of patting and rolling and folding and resting, I had two trays full of glistening, golden, melt-in-your-mouth croissants!
