About this Cook
I moved to Alberta a year ago(Mar 2009). I love basset hounds!!!! I enjoy trying new things and meeting people who like to laugh and enjoy what life has to offer!
My favorite things to cook
pastas, casseroles, cookies, Christmas baking, 'throw together' whatever's in the fridge-one pot dinners, ribs, slow cooker chicken with all the trimmings....lots of yummy goodies!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas treats, casseroles
My cooking triumphs
pies.......I couldn't get the crust to be light and flaky.......was always soggy!
My cooking tragedies
That used to be awful soggy pie crusts!

Coffee Shake
i haven't tried this one yet. however one suggestion i could make would be to make ice cubes with very strong coffee instead of plain water. gives it a strong taste and use frozen yoghurt instead of sugar and vanilla. tastes just like a Tim Hortons Iced Cap

Grilled Baked Potatoes
I cook them in microwave, slice them in half lengthwise , then make slices(but not down to the skin), fill the slices with margarine, sprinkle garlic powder, pepper, and parsley on top. these are soooo good! In the winter I put them under the broiler and the edges get reallly b/friend loves them and even my fussy(chef)brother loves them too

Cranberry Hootycreeks
I don't like white chocolate and I love these cookies. I have been making these for years in jars and for baskets at Christmas and they are asked for every year. the best!!!
