Made just like the recipe and it was ok. Not much flavor. I will try some of the other user suggestions like using a clam sauce. Will try again.

Grilled Tri-Tip with Oregon Herb Rub

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Can I just say, oh my goodness. This was delicious, mouth watering actually. What a great and easy recipe! Instead of using water, we dipped in soy sauce, we packed on the spices, one of the tri-tips we stuffed with garlic cloves. We only had to cook for about 1hr, about 30min on each side, browned it first for about 10min on all sides. Then moved both pieces to the center of the grill and turned the outside burners to low. The meat kept moist, even the next day. We will use this recipe again for sure!!!!

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
Well first off it was this soup was a hit with my family, including two three year olds. So this is what i did. Added, two sliced zucchini, two cans of chicken broth, two bottles of water, two tomatoes, oregano, rosemary, garlic salt, pepper, lots of cumin, chili powder, one jalapeno, 1/8 cup of milk and cilantro, plus what the recipe called for. I browned the onion, chicken and garlic then added the rest of the ingredients. After cooking for 30min, i served the soup with some optional toppings including corn, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, Mexican cheese and chips. Everybody loved it, and they requested for the soup to be made again. 5 stars all around!!!

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I really enjoyed these. I was looking for a recipe that could use some cabbage and ran across this. I only had 1/2 a head of cabbage. I added the bacon (great suggestion), rosemary, basil, didn't have can of tomato just added tomato sauce and topped with cheese. It was great. Will make again for sure.

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
I am giving three stars cause these poppers were a hugh hit at the Superbowl party, but i didnt like them, way to greasy for my taste. Good suggestion wearing gloves and putting in water. Saved me from a lot of pain.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
WOW!!!! That was so good. I didn't have any fresh basil so I used the dry. I had bought frozen raw shrimp with no tails, rinsed in water about three times then put in the pan. Topped with mozzarella. Will definitely make again.

Delicious Angel Hair in Tomato, Tuna and Olive Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I was a little hesitant about the tuna tomato sauce comb.I didn't have white chunk tuna so I used what I had, it was fine. Also didn't have the olives but it was still good. You can also brown some bread crumbs in a pan and add on top the pasta, pretty good. Quick and easy, excellent recipe.

Sage Apple Chicken with Brie

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
This dish was odd. It is defiantly an acquired taste. It wasn't terrible but I don't think I would make it again. Surprisingly my boyfriend liked it and I didn't. He doesn't normally like meals like this.

Alice's Sour Cream Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Excellent!!!! I made on the stove. Cooked the chicken first in olive oil. The cut in slices and cooked some more until slightly browned adding two cloves of fresh garlic. Mixed the sour cream, basil, rosemary, garlic salt, lemon pepper, pepper, white wine, water instead of chicken broth and added frozen green beans and mozzarella cheese. Added sauce to chicken and sauteed until sauce thickened. Then topped over white rice. Lots of flavor and very good. I will try with pasta next time. Very enjoyable.
