I live in Sheridan, WY with my husband, daughter Jaelyn, soon to be baby daughter (due June), and chocolate lab named Murphy!
My favorite things to cook
Most recently...baby food! I have so much fun trying new recipes with my daughter! Also, I love to stir-fry/Asian, cook spicy, tradtional Mexican food, Italian, homemade bread and appertizers. I also like to try and take a recipe and make it healthier by changing ingrediens, but at the same time keeping the flavors yummy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sister and I grew up in the kitchen. Whether it was with our Grandmas, or our mom, we always loved to cook. In fact, we would watch cooking shows over cartoons when we were little. Now, get us all together with a bottle of wine and a recipe...it is madness, laughing and eating!
My cooking triumphs
Soy sauce chicken, Pad Thai, Lasagna, Italian Pasta dishes, Ribs and homemade BBQ sauce!
My cooking tragedies
When my husband and I were dating he tried making me a fancy dinner of Chicken Parmasean. He put raw chicken in a pan, and then mixed eggs and breadcrumbs in a bowl and poured it over the chicken:) Yes, we had a chicken parmasean omelet! Well, trying to salvage the chicken, I washed it off, and tried to re-do the recipe...we ended up ordering take-out! I have to give him credit for trying to make a nice dinner!

White Chili II
I made this for my family on a cold and snowy day and it was wonderful...after I made a few changes to the basic recipe! First, I omitted the peppers and replaced with 2 large cans of green chiles and 1 can of rotel. I also omitted the ginger and sage tThanks to the previous review), and added a little more cumin and some ground chipolte red pepper flakes! Finally I mashed the second can of beans for the thicker consistency and incorportated it all into my crock pot for a yummy hot soup dinner!
