Apple Crumble Tart

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Wow! My goal this weekend was to do something with that 10 pounds of apples we picked last weekend and I found this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and it exceeded my expectations! If you leave out the marsala wine sauce, then you have a nice "comfort food" dessert. The wine sauce stepped it up about 10 notches to a fine dessert you would serve after a nice dinner with friends. Trust me, they'll be impressed! This was off the hook!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Awesome recipe! Easy and tasty! I sifted the confectioners' sugar to help it mix easier and it turned out very creamy and fluffy. I also added 1/3 C cocoa and turned it into chocolate peanut butter frosting. I used it on chocolate cupcakes for a perfect flavor combo!

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Great recipe! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfect. I used the Chocolate Cheese Frosting recipe from this site. The cream cheese frosting was a nice compliment to this dark, rich cake. Everyone raved and asked for the recipe! Thank you - this was a home run!

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Loved this recipe! I substituted almond extract for the vanilla extract. It changed the flavor significantly - almost tasted like I added a liquor. I omitted the cinnamon this time - but will definitely try it the next time around. I received rave reviews!

Colleen's Jambalaya - revised for stove top

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
I didn't have time to do the slow cooker version, so tried this one out. Wow - what a surprise! It was delicious and easy!! Next time I make it, I will saute the onions and celery separately and then add them. When I just threw them in with the chicken and sausage, they didn't soften. I might also add another cup of chicken broth, because it got very thick as the rice expanded. The spices were perfect! This is a GREAT recipe!

World's Best Vegan Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
I had a friend from out of town coming over for breakfast and he is vegan. I really scratched my head to figure out what to serve. I made these pancakes using Timothy's modified recipe he posted on 3/22/08. I followed the directions exactly, except I had to substitute vanilla pudding mix (made sure there was no milk in it) for the custard powder. Wow, they were fantastic!!! Everyone loved them. THANK YOU!

Lebanese-Style Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I love this soup! I followed the directions exactly, except I only added 1/2 C lemon juice, instead of 3/4 C. The peppery flavor with the lemon is fantastic! It's a great cold-weather soup.
