Just not very good. I reduced the amount of water and it still didn't set up properly. The taste was so-so. I ended up throwing it away.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

I'm giving this two stars because I prepared it as written, and this recipe calls for far too many potatoes. The overall flavor was really good, but I have to agree with other reviewers who suggested cutting the amount of potatoes by 2 lbs or so, and cutting them into smaller pieces. Another complaint that I had was that the casserole did not "set up" well. It was pretty runny. I have a feeling it will be better the next day, which is fine by me because I love leftovers. I may try it again, with fewer potatoes and more ham.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

I had a boneless pork shoulder that was over 4 lbs., so I doubled the ingredients and let it cook on low for a little over 9 hours, and it was excellent. I did follow the advice of other reviewers and inserted six or seven garlic cloves, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. It was a hit with everyone at the table. My husband even raved about this dish, which is very unusual!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

This recipe was "OK". The ease of preparation is good, but it just didn't have a whole lot of flavor.. I will probably make it again when I want mac & cheese without the hassle of making the beschamel, but I'll add about 50% more cheddar. I think it definitely needs more cheddar.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

I made only one change to this recipe; I added probably more than double the chopped jalapeno. I just kept adding until it tasted right. I took this to my niece's birthday party, and everyone loved it...a new party staple! I served it with pretzel chips.

Breakfast Casserole II

This was a great recipe. I did have to cook it for about 15 minutes longer than called for or I would have given it 5 stars. Everyone agreed that it would benefit from some diced green peppers and maybe a little bit of diced sweet onions but I'd make it again just like it is!

The Best Meatloaf

My husband loved this one. I followed it pretty precisely with the exception of using crushed saltines in place of the bread crumbs, and used ground sirloin (hey, it was on sale) and baked it in a meatloaf pan with a drain feature built in to keep the grease down. Very good!

Pastitsio II

This was an excellent alternative to my own baked ziti recipe. I added quite a bit of cinnamon to the meat sauce, taking a hint from other reviews, and it had the most unique flavor. When hubby says "you've gotta make this again", it's a keeper.
