Famous Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
Growing up we had Hawaiian meatballs over rice. The recipe did not lend itself to having that extra sauce to enjoy over rice. So I added water and some beef bouillon, since I did not have extra pineapple juice.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
These are my absolute favorite recipe. We won't use another recipe. A lightly crunchy top and bottom, chewy inside. It does NOT need frosting. We found this recipe in March, and have made this recipe about a dozen times. We make it before taking a trip. Update, we were out of choc. chips and used white choc. chips. It still gives a crunchy top, slightly different color and taste.

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
This is my husband's favorite frosting. He likes it on a Ho-Ho cake. We used this recipe with a banana bar recipe, and it was better than eating buttered banana bread.

Christmas Tree Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Just the way we like it. Some recipes just taste better with that almond flavoring and Christmas cutouts is one of them. We had no problems rolling out the dough. Now off to find the right icing.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
I am not sure IF and what my son did wrong with the recipe, but I ended up adding another tbsp. of butter and an extra tbsp. of milk (we used milk instead of OJ). I absolutely loved the scones. I really look forward to trying it with some cranberries and white chocolate chips OR even adding pecans to this recipe. Also, I used a small Pampered Chef rolling pin and pressed the dough into a 9x9 glass dish. I cut it into quarters, then cut three triangles into each quarter. I took the triangles out and placed them on a greased cookie sheet. It was so easy!

Quick Mix Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
I use the Pampered Chef Cookie Press and if I don't have problems getting the cookie to stick to the pan instead of the press, then it's a success. These were a success. I have another recipe that calls for 2 c of butter and didn't have the butter this year. It lacks the buttery taste, but has almost the same texture.

Great tasting funnel cakes. Start with an outer circle, then work your way in. Flip with tongs to keep from splattering.

Storybook Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
My son made them. We had to add more water, but it was probably the way he measured the flour. We didn't have molasses, so we used dark corn syrup. They taste great. I don't like a strong molasses flavor, so I'd probably go 1/2 c molasses and 1/4 c dark corn syrup if we make them again.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

This is an entirely different flavor, than the ones I make with cream of chicken soup. I like both. The cream cheese filling could easily serve as a dip.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
SO EASY! My son saw this recipe advertised on his favorite dessert recipe and wanted to make this. I was a bit skeptical. This is such an easy recipe for the kids to make. I will likely play with the sauce next time, just to cut some calories and fat... We made half the recipes. We put an extra apple in between the crescent wrapped apples. There is so much sauce, we could have cut up a third.
