Buttery Crunch Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This is so good, I could eat it plain. I used this with a cream cheese cake recipe, using cream cheese and condensed milk... It was excellent. Today, I'm making my mom's rhubarb bars with this crust for a variation!

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2012
I had to use chicken bouillon, rather than chicken broth. I followed the advice of another reviewer, who put the cornstarch in before the eggs. I used 2 eggs (no sense wasting); I held a fork over the pot, and poured the egg over the fork.

We used this recipe with the Best Buttercream Frosting Recipe by Jennifer. It was better than eating buttered banana bread. It was extremely delicious.

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
This is my husband's favorite frosting. He likes it on a Ho-Ho cake. We used this recipe with a banana bar recipe, and it was better than eating buttered banana bread.

Mai Tai

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I've tried many Mai Tai recipes, and hated them all. This is by far the truest Mai Tai recipe. It has the right sweetness to it.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I took frozen breaded haddock, and put it into the pizza oven. We made the yogurt sauce, decreasing the cayenne. In addition, I made a simple tomato salsa: tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeno, onion, vinegar, lime juice, & sugar. The combination was heavenly. I also made a mango salsa. Both salsas with the yogurt sauce was delicious. We do not like corn tortillas, so we served it with flour tortillas, and lettuce (no cabbage). It was quick, easy, and amazing. Why fuss with the mess! A pizza oven gives it a nice crisp on both sides, unlike the conventional oven. I have left over sauce, and salsa. Can't wait to try it with blackened tuna and grilled salmon.

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
If only I could roll mine thinner... I can't seem to roll them thin enough. Perhaps if I decreased the baking powder. A co-worker of mine, Spanish teacher, would make these and share them. I enjoyed them plain.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
This is not a chewy brownie as the name implies. It tastes like the chocolate chip zucchini cake that my mom makes. I didn't top it off with frosting. Instead, I topped it the way that my mom does. I didn't have the chocolate chips, but still stopped it off with pecans, cinnamon and sugar before baking.

Lemon Pound Cake

Since a friend shared it with me, it's the only pound cake recipe that I use. Further, it's so versatile. It's a simple dessert to take anywhere.

Christmas Tree Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Just the way we like it. Some recipes just taste better with that almond flavoring and Christmas cutouts is one of them. We had no problems rolling out the dough. Now off to find the right icing.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 6, 2013
This is an entirely different flavor, than the ones I make with cream of chicken soup. I like both. The cream cheese filling could easily serve as a dip.

German Brotchen Rolls

We lived in Germany for 3 years. We won't make these too often (long process). However, they are very good. Did the math for those that are dieting, and they were 160 calories each.
