My cooking triumphs
I take a look at the ingredients I have and will come up with something. I enjoy being inventive. I've only entered one recipe contest and won a whole $5 for the entry. I've been able to re-create dishes by taste.
My cooking tragedies
With 4 boys I have to multi-task. So, I've left food unattended a few times. A few burnt cookies is the worst. The funniest is when I was packing sandwiches for a fishing trip. I asked our friend what condiments he wanted on his sandwich and forgot the meat. I hate cooking with yeast and hate decorating cakes, I'm not patient.

Flavorful Flounder For the Oven
We normally don't buy flounder. I unthawed the flounder, rinsed it, patted it dry, put it in a cake pan lined with aluminum foil and spray. I sprinkled sea salt and a little bit of the lemon juice over the fish, but did not add it with the mayonnaise. I was only cooking 4 fillets, and only had about 1/3 cup of Parmesan left, so I added about 2 tbsp butter, and about 2 tbsp mayonnaise. Mine did not turn out mushy.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad
Great recipe - we had to make some alterations due to lack of ingredients in the house. We left out vinegar, onion, and raisins. We've had some with cheddar cheese, and so we added 1/2 c cheddar to the recipe. We also reduced sunflower seeds to 1/2 c. Someone mentioned grapes - I will definitely be trying that in the future.

Lemon Pound Cake II
A friend of mine gave me a recipe similar to this years ago. I thought that the one I had called for yogurt. However, this was just as moist as I remember the pound cake being. I use a yellow cake mix, lemon pudding, and juiced one lemon, which I put in the measuring cup and added the water to in order to fill one cup and not go over. I loved it. My children thought it was just a bit too sour. We made a glaze from lemon juice and confection sugar.
