Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
THIS IS THE BEST RECIPE! We grow a lot of cukes in our garden and I tried this recipe last year. Ended up having to do another batch. I think we ended up with 16 large jars of pickles. They are so crispy and delicious. I experimented a little and added some fresh jalapenos from our garden to a few jars and they, too, were awesome. In fact, my brother ate the jalepenos that we added to the pickles and suggested we try pickling jalapenos so we'll be doing that this year. THIS IS A KEEPER!

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2005
This was my first year attempting a St. Patrick's Day dinner. I found this recipe and just had to try it since my husband is a big fan of Guinness. Since we were having company over, he insisted I also do a traditional boiled corned beef. Well...the Guinness one was devoured and the boiled one was only consumed after the Guinness one was gone. I did mine for 10 hours on low in the crockput and it was just amazing!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
I recently discovered that I LOVE french onion soup and order it whenever we eat out. I just had to find a recipe to see if I could make it at home. This recipe is wonderful. I took the suggestion of a few posters here and added a few generous splashes of worcestershire. I agree, you must use the sherry. I topped it with swiss and provolone and it was DELICIOUS!! As good as any restaurant and better than some!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
I'm not allowed to go home for Christmas unless I bring these treats! I make them exactly as instructed and they are delicious! For those who think they are too salty, perhaps try unsalted crackers next time?

Easy Toffee Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
I've been making this for years and it is a family favorite around the holidays. MARYAC, I usually let it boil for a few minutes. Maybe you didn't let it boil long enough b/c that's when it thickens? Just a thought. I sprinkle some chopped nuts on the melted chocolate. YUMMY!

Peanut Butter Candy Blossoms

I've made this recipe for the last few years for the Christmas cookie platters I do as gifts. It still remains the #1 cookie of the several dozen cookies I have made over the years. Will try cutting Snickers in half next time b/c cookies to come out really huge!!

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2002
This is the best ever. I've now been making this recipe for over a year. My fiance makes the boneless buffalo wings and I do this blue cheese recipe. It's an awesome combination and always a hit. Make sure you let it sit in the frige overnight b/c it really makes a difference with the flavor. One time I didn't make it the day before and it just didn't taste as YUMMY!!

Chicken Jerusalem I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
Delicious recipe and so easy to make. Sauce was a little thin, but other than that, no complaints. I put half of the sauce in the freezed to save for another night and cooked other 1/2 with 2 chicken breasts. Yummy with rice. Will make again and again.
