About this Cook
I am 30 years old and a mother of five wonderful children all under the age of 11, which makes me a busy busy women!
My favorite things to cook
I usually cook Mexican dishes like chiles rellenos, enchiladas, sopes, posole ect. I am trying to expand my knowledge in the kitchen because I love cooking and baking. I also work with cakes alot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Colerful and spicy!
My cooking tragedies
Cakes! I started exploring the cake world around 6 years ago and have run through the valleys with no help, searching for whatever answers I could find online and trying new recipes which sometimes came out horrible. After many embarrasing cakes and fall-apart attempts, I could say that today I am even comfortable enough to make a wedding cake.

Mall Pretzels
I really liked this recipe, just tried it 2 days ago and loved the results, they came out nice and soft on the inside (do not leave longer than cook time suggested) I accidently left a couple two or three minutes longer and they came out crunchy! My kids loved them covered with butter sugar and cinnamon!

Rosettes I
I have to say with this recipe this was the closest I got to my mothers Rosettes which were the best! I did have a little trouble with the batter falling off the iorn, called my mother and immediately had an answer! Place a kitchen towel or napkins next to your hot oil pot or pan and after dipping the iorn into the hot oil, pat it flat onto the towel and then dip into the batter and sure enough no more fallen batter. I also like using my blender to blend both the sugar and cinnamon together and make it a little more softer for dusting at the end. Thank you for the recipe!
