Bacon wrapped Seasoned Tri-Tip
About this Cook
I am a dedicated worker with very good work ethic as followed my dad's foot steps. Been to Japan for work a few times a place everyone should experience on their bucket list per say. Love sports! College Football favorite. Michigan Wolverines GO BLUE! I like bowling and golfing and just sitting out in the yard enjoying the weather in the summer with a nice grilled meal and a good beer with friends.
My favorite things to cook
I don't get to cook a lot but when I do everyone enjoys the concoctions I come up with. I use ideas from other recipes and combine, alter or emulate. I mix it up a lot as far as variety and I am a spice and sauce lover! I swear nothing can be sauced, rubbed, seasoned, spiced up enough for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of the easier dishes we used to make was Chili. my dad would make it quite often and as I moved out I started creating new ingredients and ways to liven the chili up.
My cooking triumphs
Anything created for the first time ever that does not end up in the garbage!! LOL I did a Slow Roasted pulled pork for Superbowl with a homemade Whiskey barbecue sauce that rocked the party. Also with the help of pillsbury used to make these killer corn dogs that until you bit into them you were not sure what you were going to get need it be bacon, cheddar, pepperjack, or a dozen other options I am not at liberty to say........Also bacon wrapped seasoned tri-tips at the football tailgates with quarter size seasoned red skins in marinade on the grill!
My cooking tragedies
I have a tendency to over cook sometimes dried out chicken, steak, and fish on the grill. hard to monitor and regulate temps so unless you are on top of it or have a better grill than the $300 version you really have to watch your meats!

Lap Salad
changed out the head cabbage for a more colorful tasty cole slaw mix. Then to zing it up a little bit more took 2-3 tablespoons of the Kraft Roasted Red Pepper vinaigrette dressing then sauteed the almond slivers and sesame seeds lightly brown (cool down before adding). Of course I like it spicy so I added some sliced pickled jalapenos to my personal dish.... Awesome recipe though and everyone ate it up at last party so fast will have to make a triple batch for this up coming party!

Burrito Pie
Not bad but far from hot. I am a spicy guy so to kick it up a notch, BAM add some Jalapeno's to it which gives an extra flavor burst with a bit more heat! Not something you want to eat everyday or a heart attack will ensue but well worth the time of making once every 4-6 months!
