My favorite things to cook
I used to be just a dessert girl, but I'm really branching out into other foods. My favorite at the moment is soups! Yum!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I try very hard to let my little ones help in the kitchen. The 2 year old often sees me cooking and says, "Me too, me too!". They love to dump in the ingredients!
My cooking triumphs
Getting beyond my mom's cooking. She can cook for sure, but during my growing up years it was Hamburger Helper & a can of green beans on a regular basis.
My cooking tragedies
I once confused a cucumber & zuccine (which I can's spell right today!). Cooked cucumber does NOT make for a nice small wafting through the house!

Kerry's Beany Salad
This was a fun salad to make! I altered it as suggested by other reviewers, also I put the entire cans of beans in the salad since I didn't want to have any left in the can to deal with. My kids even ate this up-so much that there were no leftovers. My pickiest eater ate four bowls (although my kids aren't afraid of salads & grown up foods) I think this would be good in a wrap and maybe play with the dressing...something with lime would be good too, but it's excellent as is!

No Bake Bumpy Peanut Butter Nuggets
We really like this recipe, it's so quick & easy yet very healthy. I like more coconut, so I added more. Also, I didn't have apple juice, so I used honey and used ground flaxseed in place of the wheat germ, since that's what I had on hand. I've made it twice in one week and I'm sure it will continue to be a favorite around here. Great recipe just the way it is, but also would be fun to play with-adding a variety of ingredients-nuts, raisins...

Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Muffins
Simple, moist & all four of my daughters like them! I used applesauce instead of oil, a whole, unrefined sugar instead of sugar, and used only 1/2 cup honey and they were great. There was a lot of topping left, so either heap it on or throw it in the freezer for the next time you make muffins.
