Puerto Rican Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Cut the seasonings down since I only had a 4lb roast. Cooked for about 1/2 hr per lb and was wonderful! Baked first with fat on bottom then the last 1/2 uncovered and baked with fat on top.

They were tasty, but had a hard time getting the cheese to stay inside (even though I rolled the ends under as well)

Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
very good cake, but better with rhubarb syrup on top. Just take cubed rhubarb and about 1/2 c. water and sugar cook in sauce pan until rhubarb is soft, about 10 min. Mash. Add more water if needed. Mix in about 1 t. of corn starch with water and cook that in as well. You can also add a little bit of red food coloring to the sauce to make it a little more red

Grandma's Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Made just as called for. Delish! Did need to cook a bit longer than it called for, but that may have been because mine were not as thin maybe.

Too much oil. Cut the oil in 1/2 and was plenty. Otherwise made just as stated.

Didnt really care for this, a little too lemonly. Maybe a little less lemon pepper and it would be better

Very good. I did double the batch and used 1 lb of ground chuck and 1 lb of pork and reduced the amount of red pepper to my families taste, other than that made as directed. Yum!

Raspberry Peach Crumble

Very good! Thought that the oatmeal could have used a little more flavor. Next time will add more cinnamon and just use all brown sugar in the topping.

Real Homemade Tamales

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
Made tamales for the first time and they had a good flavor (I used pork in place of beef) but the masa dough was a bit crumbly. I wish that it gave a bit more information on how much liquid should be going into the dough. I think that was the reason for the crumbling. Tons of time for something that didnt turn out so well. Bummed but will try again with some help from YOUtube
