Super Al's Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
I also used creamy horseradish sauce. I will try it with the raw when I'm able to get some. This is VERY good! No need to buy premade cocktail sauce again.

Homemade Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2013
Five stars just for the cool factor alone. I used a half pint container, it took about 7 minutes to separate. I used a spatula to get the majority of milk out then I put the butter ball in a paper towel and squeezed more out. I put it back in the food processor and added salt and garlic. It ended up with a really nice whipped texture. Love it!

Honey Mustard Beer Brats

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2013
I never cooked anything with beer before! I happened to buy brats because they were on sale, and found this recipe. I'm glad I did. The only change I made was I used honey BBQ sauce and added dijon mustard. I did not grill mine, but put them in the oven and broiled for five minutes. I don't know if that step was 100% necessary though. Hubby and I both loved them.

Zucchini Pineapple Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
The day I made this I felt like there was something missing. It just didn't seem all that special like I should have added more nutmeg or something? I made a loaf and muffins. I cooked the muffins for too long, so that's my fault. It should have only been like 15 minutes or so. The next day the bread was so much better. I felt like I could taste all of the ingredients more on the second day. The overdone muffins were even much better the second day. My husband really liked it. I'm giving four stars because I feel there should be some tweaking with the spices. I followed the recipe as is, sugar content seemed just fine to me. Thanks for the good recipe.

Green Grape Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
This salad is a hit every time. I use half green and half red grapes. I use a hand mixer for the cream cheese mixture just to there aren't any lumps. I add the mixture to the grapes leaving some in the bowl until I get the amount of coating that I like. I put mine in a shallow dish overnight with the brown sugar on top. I do not add the pecans until im ready to serve.

Molly's Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
This was so surprisingly yummy and simple. I didn't want to fry the drumsticks I purchased so I stumbled on this. I used a quarter cup soy sauce, and I was generous with the brown sugar. I used tomato soup because it was what I had on hand. Wonderful recipe, Molly is onto something.

Slow Cooker French Onion Soup

Reviewed: May 31, 2013
I am making this for the second time today. French Onion is my hubby's favorite. He likes anything with onion and garlic, so I'll double the garlic. I used four very large yellow onions. No sherry here, so I'm using 1/4c apple cider vinegar and 1/4 c water instead. (another reviewer idea). I also sliced the onions right into the crockpot with the butter and let them cook for about 45 minutes first, and add the garlic for about 5 or 10 minutes before adding other ingredients.

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
These were really good. Kinda too dense or something for my taste. I'm only giving this recipe 4 stars because my husband pointed out that they smell like feet. He also ate them and thought they were good, but I can't get past the feet thing now.

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
These turned out really well. I toasted the oats and nuts at 350 for about five minutes to bring out the flavor. good stuff. I didn't see a need to refrigerate the dough. I sprayed the cookie sheet lightly with cooking spray and had no problems. I used white chocolate baking squares roughly chopped, and white chips.

Pistachio Cream Cheese Fingers

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
These cookies did not quite meet the expectation I had after reading the reviews. I followed the recipies as written with the exception of using two boxes of the pistashio pudding mix instead of one. I did notice the pistashio flavor was stronger the day after I made them. I would make these again if I needed something with color to stand out on a cookie tray, bake sale, etc. I did use a large star tip inside of a sandwich bag to pipe these onto the cookie sheet before baking.

I happened to pick up a jar of sunflower seed really cheap, so I searched for sunflower seed recipes and found this. Glad I did, they are really good! I only added sprinkles on top, no other changes.

very good. I followed this recipe as it's written, and it made four large, fluffy pancakes. I didn't get the chance to take a picture....they were gone too fast!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
very, very good recipe. I doubled it to get 12 large muffins. I did not double the topping mixture though, it made enough to cover all twelve. I kinda pressed the topping into the batter slightly before baking them.
