Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
I have made this recipe many times in the past three years. I followed the advice of other and it came out great. I made the beef just like I would tacos but added the onions. I used a can of tomatoes and chilies in place of the regular chilies as I like my soup a little spicier and it's easier. I added another 1/2 of taco seasoning mix to the slow cooker mixture for a richer taste. I also add shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream in each bowl before serving. I pair if with honey or jalapeno cornmeal muffins, tasted great with the soup!

THE BEST PANCAKES I HAVE EVERY MADE! I followed the recipe exactly and it came out great. Very fluffy but next time I will add a little more sugar as I like sweeter pancakes.

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Excellent Frosting! I was looking for a recipe that didn't call for coco as I don't like the taste. Instead of unsweetened cubes I used semi-sweet chocolate chips and my family loved it.

This is the first time I made this and my family LOVED it. I did add bacon and onions to the meat along with cream of mushroom soup. I also added the potatoes, more cream of mushroom than shredded cheese and it tasted great!

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
This was my first time making meatballs and they came out great. I also made homemade sauce with it instead of a jar. Like the other suggested I used 2 eggs and 1TBSP of Italian seasonings. Will definitely make again!

Chocolate Sheet Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
For me this cake was ok as it looked more like a brownie than a cake. I also just think that I don't like coco mix and will use chocolate chips instead.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
So this is the first time I made from scratch brownies. I'm not sure if I did something wrong but I cooked it for 30mins like it said and it came out VERY fudgey almost like it wasn't done. I'll try it again and see.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I've tried the yellow and chocolate recipes and they are great. I used the yellow cake recipe for Pineapple Upside Cake and it came out very moist. I used the chocolate variation but added fudge and cherry topping in the batter to make cherry chocolate cake and it came moist , even now four days later.

Ham with Honey and Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I've made this before but it came out fantastic this time. I had people tell me that this was the best ham they have ever tasted! I think it's because this time I basted it every half hour and covered the ham very lightly with foil so the top wouldn't burn.

Breakfast Pizza I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This is the first time I made this but my grandmother used to make it for years. I actually make more of a casserole than a pizza because all I have is a pizza stone. Instead of buying crescent rolls I bought 1 pie crust(top and bottom) and just formed them to the pan. It made one 9x13 and one 9 inch round. I just added four more eggs and extra topping (I used sausage, bacon, and sauteed mushrooms and onions) and it came out great. I also slightly pre-cooked my crust like others suggested and it was great, not soggy at all! My family loved this christmas morning. Next time I'll cook the meat and dough the pans before I go to sleep so it doesn't take me long to make it.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
This was the first time I've ever made this cake before. Everyone loved it and it tasted great! I did double the brown sugar and butter as others suggested and if I didn't I don't think it would have tasted as good. I also substituted half the milk with pineapple juice and it came out very moist. Will make this again next year!

This is the first time I'd ever made cranberry sauce as only two people in my family like it. This turned out great and everyone liked it saying "I can't believe I actually like this cranberry sauce". Will make again next year!
