The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
I have tried and tried this recipe and I suppose I will again today but I can't get it to do,I don't know if it's because of the weather or what but I haven't been able to roll it like it calls for. So far I don't know what's so best about it.

Shrimp Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Great! I have been told that this was my best chowder to date but here are the few changes I had to make. Didn't have any chicken broth been cooking a lot! so I used veggie broth, no celery ( my perference) but I used a orange bell pepper with the red, regular whole milk, and salt with the pepper! like I said I've been told it's my best so far to make!

Quick Italian Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
Well,I just fixed this soup today and it's a very good soup. I made some adjustements, nothing major to the soup but I didn't use any cabbage or celery (personal taste) and I used 1 can of beef broth, probaly could have used more...and if I make this again,I would saute the zucchini's also.

Cheese Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This is realtively easy and if you are tired of just eating regular toast or not a fan of cinnamon toast, this is it! I have made this 3 or 4 times before but this is the first time I have reviewed it. And I will suggest to all who makes it,put on plenty of cheese (according to how you like it),it will taste so much better.

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Whew! I'm full! I just got finished making and eating 'circus' food! This was a geat recipe, only next time I would omit one thing, the corn dog recipe didn't need sugar in it so that will be left out, will probaly put garlic powder in place. And my suggestion to some reviewers who had trouble with the batter, okay,at first I tried seperating the flour from the cornmeal but I quickly found out that I had to add them together to make the cornmeal stick and after you dip them in batter, roll them again in the cornmeal,it really does help! All in all, this was a really good recipe! My son said 'Pretty good mom' Wow! hehe

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
THis was a very good dish and I don't think I would change a thing. Tho I used precut carrots, and a frozen bag of mixed veggies that included diced red peppers and snow peas. Very good. Well,I did x-nay the celery but that's me. And I had a fine time cooking,no over the shoulder peeking and trying to do for me that I stated in my profile. yaaa! All in all,a good and fun to make recipe.

Pork Tenderloin with Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I made the maranaide for this last night, only thing I changed was I used red wine vinegar,I may change it again to italian dressing next time,I don't know. But after maranating it all night and cooking it for a hour and basting it every ten minutes or so,it was SO tender! We all loved it,my mother just said she kept tasting something strong in the tenderloin,we figured it had to be the soy sauce but we weren't comlaining about it,it was a good taste, just strong! This is a very good recipe to make again and again.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
THis is a good chili but I only gave it a four because there are a few things that need changing. First of all,it needs some more juice,I made it as is for lunch and decided quickly that it definatly needs some more juice,so for supper I added beef broth.I left out the celery (personal taste) and like some other reviewers suggested,I upped the cayenne pepper. All in all,a good chili to have.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
Okay,I give this recipe a 3 because I have made this pudding twice, last night,I followed the steps exactly like written and all I got was a runny thin mess. This morning I only put in one cup of milk and it's better, I think it calls for too much vanilla but to each his own. I don't think I'll be making this again.

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
I just made this recipe tonight and it was good but there has been better recipe's on this site. I agree with one other reviewer, that the half and half with the evaporated milk just seemed to make more of a sauce than a cream. I don't think I'll make this one again but then again,I might try only do things different.

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
I have made this recipe AGAIN and it just stays a good chili to make and I love that it adds zucchini because to me that adds something to it or it would be ordinary but... I got the directions right in front of me and it's somewhat confusing,I reread it several times and had my mother read it and nowhere does it say to add the zucc so I just did at the end. I sauteed them in butter then put them in the chili,I don't know why the recipe didn't say to but I did,I still love the chili but I just wanted to say how confusing it was. Thanks for the recipe Big Surprise, whoever you are.

Apple Bacon Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
This is a good soup but to me it just tasted like another good tomato soup really, but like another reviewer,I may try another brand of apple. Update,I made this soup again,it's much better this time! But I won't put red wine vinegar in there ever again,I put in 7 cuts of bacon and a WHOLE box of beef broth and it was delish!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
This is a great recipe! my only complaint is that you don't have to use that much cheese but it's just as good anyway. I took mine to lunch and my co-workers were like 'What's that good smell?' when you do something that good, you know you made something worthwhile.

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
I just made this dish tonight and I had to add my review! I did almost 95% of the recipe to a 't' except I didn't add rice wine vinegar (personal taste) and the orange zest and I did what most of the other reviewers did and I doubled the sauce,I wasn't going to but I did at the last minute and I'm glad I did! I also used frozen veggies and everything was so good! I used japenese bean sprouts instead of rice and I don't recommend that again!

Pan Sauteed Chicken with Vegetables and Herbs

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
This is a good recipe that's worth making again,I made a few minor changes, the recipe calls for 2 small red onions,I just used 1 good sized one and that fit the bill and I just used a can of sliced carrots. My son had two helpings so this should give you a good idea of the recipe! hee!

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
I just made this for supper last night and I'm just now sitting down to write the review, This was a good, very good dish, you taste the mashed potatoes on the chicken but it's not overwhelming,it's a little of having two dishes in one,it's really easy to make. I'm glad I made it.
