About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE TO MAKE SOUP!! I personally think you just can't go wrong with soup. Its a failproof meal and I absolutely love to make it, especially this time of year.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everything that happens from Thansgiving on is my favorite in the food tradition department. My family is pretty big so we usually have 2 thanksgiving dinners and 2 Christmas dinners. My husband bakes cookies and his side of the family has a dessert bake off which is lots of fun.
My cooking triumphs
My hubby loves my mac and cheese. I also make great chicken salad. I recently tried the coconut cream I cake recipe on here submitted by GPAIN. It was a huge hit, my husband loved it!!
My cooking tragedies
Well, the first time i made a home made cake, I didn't let it cool completely (I was so excited) and put the icing on way too soon. It was three layer and lets just say there was a major landslide on the cake plate! I tried to salvage it the best I could by making a cake/bread pudding.... that didn't work out either....

Wife Saver French Toast
The overall flavor of this french toast was delicious and a big hit with my family when I made it for our New Year's Day brunch but in the future, I will make a few slight modifications to the recipe. First, I will just let it sit for maybe a couple of hours before I plan to bake it, next I will use parchment paper on the bottom of the pan and instead of pouring the brown sugar abd corn syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan, I think it's best to pour it on top of the bread.
