Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
These are really good. I made as is except for adding about a teaspoon of vanilla. They came out looking like restaurant pancakes (not a bad thing). Next time I'll probably add a little bit more milk to make them a bit thinner next time.

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: May 12, 2006
I have made this cake three times and have gotten rave reviews every single time and many requests for the recipe. I always use vanilla extract instead of the almond and just dust with powdered sugar. It does not taste like a brownie, it's very moist, not gooey. Using PAM on my bundt pan it has always popped right out after ten minutes of cooling. Frankly, I am perplexed by the negative reviews. It's a fantastic cake!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
Fantastic! I made several batches of these during the holidays and they were gone in a flash. Definitely is a keeper. Be sure to decrease white sugar to 1 cup and add 1/2 cup of brown sugar as mentioned in several reviews...makes such a difference.

Holiday Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
I'm going to have to give this one a three. While I followed the directions exactly, the white chocolate morsels did not melt well at all, pretty much just stayed in a lump, making spreading it extremely difficult. Also, making the recipe as is, you couldn't really taste the peppermint very much. If I ever decided to attempt it again, I'd try it with a different form of white chocolate and add peppermint extract for more flavor.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Excellent recipe! I took it to a Christmas party last night and it got rave reviews. I meant to reduce the cream of tartar but forgot. I will do that next time though.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2004
I'm not even going to wait until after the game to review this recipe. Fantastic! Superb! I used a rub of brown sugar, garlic powder, a little cayenne, salt and pepper before putting the BBQ sauce on them. I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce also. After cooking in the oven, I brushed with a little more BBQ sauce and then broiled for about 3 minutes. Everyone here loves them!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2001
This was wonderful!! I took the advice of other posters and added 1 more tsp. of both cinnamon and sugar to the sauce. I mixed half of the sauce with the apples in a separate bowl, then poured the remaining on top of the lattice. It was really tasty, my guests loved it. I will definitely keep this recipe!

This was a really great recipe. My sister brought it over for Christmas dinner and I couldn't stop munching on it while dinner was getting ready. Definitely a keeper!

Mandarin Orange Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2001
This is a fabulous cake! I'm going to have to take some of this over to a friend's house or I'll end up eating it all by myself. I altered it just a bit though, I used a 15oz can of oranges for the cake mix, not 11oz. Instead of mixing the crushed pineapple with the whipped topping, I poured the pineapple juice over the warm cake then I put the crushed pineapple on top of the cake...then I put the whipped topping on it. I also garnished the top of the cake with more oranges.
