Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
Impressive! I've had trouble with Quiche in the past, and this was easy! I did cook up my own bacon, but only because I was already cooking it for a different recipe. I substitued Provolone cheese for the Swiss because I had it on hand. I also shredded fresh Parmesan from a wedge, and added a couple of cloves of garlic. It was a hit!

Apple Crisp Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
These are delicious! I squeezed some fresh lemon juice over the apples as I peeled and sliced them so they wouldn't turn brown. I used my Niece's organic juice instead of water. I was out of Nutmeg so I used Pumpkin Pie Spice instead.

Great recipe! The family loved it! I added a little cinnamon to the batter, but stuck to the original recipe other than that.

This was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted! Mine didn't come out very pretty, but that didn't bother me because the taste was terrific!

Million Dollar Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
When I was doing Weight Watchers this was a recipe given to us by our leader. It was delicious, and guilt free. We used fat free pudding, and whipped topping. I also don't recall the use of cream cheese. All in all, it was a nice dessert for those of us watching our caloric intake.

Aunt T's Slow Cooker Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
I suggest seasoning the chicken however you like! I use garlic powder, onion powder, black and white pepper, a little cayenne pepper, and just a touch of salt.

Chicken Chimichangas with Green Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I've made these once, and everyone loved them. I will be taking them to my family Christmas party because we do a Mexican themed Christmas every year. I think they will be a huge hit! What made this so easy was that I used a store bought Rotisserie Chicken and shredded it. This made it so quick and easy!

Chicken Philly Pasta

Made this last night exactly as it's written and loved it! My picky roomate even enjoyed it and went back for seconds! We used an italian cheese blend instead of Swiss. We will be making this again!

Basic Fondue

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
I took the advice of the other reviewers and did 1 cup of milk, and 1 cup of beer (We had Sam Adams Oktoberfest on hand.) It was delicious. We dipped french bread, apples, and veggies. We followed the rest of the recipe precisely with the exception of the ground mustard because I didn't have any.

Mexican Corn

My sister-in-law made this one holiday about a year ago, now we have it all of the time! It's very good, and a nice change from just plain buttered corn.

Slow Cooker Pineapple Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
This is at home in my slow cooker as we speak. I cannot wait to try it. I zested an entire orange and rubbed it all over the roast, and squeezed the juice in with it as well. I also used a can of whole cranberry sauce in stead of dried cranberries. I think it's going to be very good! I will post pictures of my success later!

Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I must say, I was a little worried that this wouldn't turn out, but it was very good and my husband loved it. We used bowtie pasta and omitted the zucchini, and bell pepper (because I didn't feel like chopping!) and substituted shrimp for the chicken. I did take another reviews advice and used 12oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, and 1 cup milk. I also used fresh minced garlic instead of powder and threw in a little cayenne, dried basil, and used an "Italian Seasoning Grinder." Very good! We will make this again!

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
I used this recipe as a starting place for my Stroganoff. I sauteed half an onion, and about a tablespoon of minced garlic with the meat. I also added a small can of mushrooms, about a tablespoon of butter, a little cayenne pepper, plenty of fresh cracked black pepper, and threw in about a half cup of sour cream towards the end. It was FABULOUS!
