Chocolate-Mint Brownie Cookies

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
Excellent! Followed recipe except didn't have mint extract either and so added more vanilla. I used Hershey's mint chocolate chips and thought it was just the right amount of chocolate and mint flavor. Mine didn't spread at all like others said theirs did. I used my Pampered Chef cookie scoop and had to bake about 11 minutes and I had a total of 31 cookies.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

YUM!! Only change was that we didn't have the tomato soup and subbed 8oz tomato sauce w/ 1/4c. water. Served with the Lime Cilantro Rice recipe off this site with a side of guac.

Gluten Free Ginger-Honey Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
It was ok and easy to make but thought it was just way too sweet. I even used the Rice Chex and not the Honey Nut Chex. I thought it would have a more subtle flavor. Worth trying but I would not make again.

Beef Steaks With Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
I made the croutons with texas toast but could see just putting the steak on the toast itself but making them into croutons made it more fun for the kids. Loved the blue cheese on the steak!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
It really is the BEST lasagna I've ever had. Used the hot italian sausage instead of sweet and thought it gave really great flavor but no heat. Also used the Creamette Oven Ready lasagna so I didn't have to deal with regular noodles. I do appreciate on the tips about just soaking the regular noodles though and will definitely try that next time!

Creamed Cucumbers

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
These are fantastic! Only thing I did differently is something my grandma always did with her cucumbers before she did anything else with them was to put them in a salt brine overnight. So I sliced the cukes, put in a bowl, covered them with water and added salt. In the morning I drained, made the dressing then mixed all together. I think this helps pull some of the moisture out of the cuke and makes the dressing stick better. Made them as a side for lunch with family and received nothing but raves. Actually it was all "Mmmm" and "Yum" that I heard.

Very good. Skipped the MSG and added diced potatoes. Next I want to see how this will be as grill packets!

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
Easy-yes. Flavor-no. So bland! Lots would need to be done to this for it to be 5 stars. I was excited to use something other than the typical spaghetti sauce that is in most other recipes but this sauce has no flavor and I used name brand diced tomatoes and paste. Worth trying but just wasn't for us.

Followed recipe exactly but you definitely need a good bbq sauce. Very simple and kids enjoyed (and they are tough guys to please!)

Campbell's Kitchen Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ok basic recipe but more needs to be done to it and doesn't get 5 stars in my book. Worth trying once but won't make again.

Followed recipe as is and thought it was great. Served with a jasmine rice lemongrass/ginger flavor (box). Could see how it would be good with pasta too or other vegies.

I did not like this at all. Followed the directions to a T and did not like the flavor. Thankfully with many additions, my husband was able to fix so that it was somewhat edible.

What a great idea! I'm giving 5 stars for the decorating idea but used another cake recipe for the cupcakes (Lisa's chocolate chocolate chip cake recipe from this site). These turned out so cute and was not difficult at all. Thank you!

Absolutely love this bread! I have tried some of the suggestions listed and find that the original directions make the best loaf. I make this once a week and the kids call it "mom's good bread". Love it.

Chicken Noodle Salad with Peanut-Ginger Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
I thought this was a great cold salad. I accidentally made a little too spicy by using the Thai Chili/Garlic paste instead of the sauce that the recipe calls for. I did like the effect it had. I doubled the sauce like a few other reviewers suggested and glad I did. Added sugar snap peas. Ate the salad cold and was still good and not too dry after 3 days. Will definitely make again.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
Really good and very simple. Did saute onions in 1 Tbsp butter beforehand. Put in order as recipe states. My family doesn't mind when everything is together so to make this even easier, I'd put either frozen peas or green beans on the top during the last 15-20 minutes of cooking.

PB&J Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
Absolutely love these! I found plain granola in the organic dry food aisle in the grocery store I shop at. I only had an 8x8 pan and also could only find a 15oz pkg of refrigerated sugar cookie dough but thought that worked out just fine. Along with the other reviewers I thought these were much better chilled. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe!
