About this Cook
I'm married and have 3 children. I love cooking so much I consider it to be my hobby instead of a chore.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods like pot roast and homemade soups. I also love to make deep fried chicken. The aroma of these foods makes a house smell so inviting.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey for Thanksgiving, Ham on Christmas eve, Turkey on Christmas day,and Ham on Easter Sunday. I cook all of these and all the sides to go with them for us and our extended family for all these occasions every year. I don't mind, I love to cook and we have a large house to accomodate alot of people, so the more the merrier !
My cooking triumphs
I manage to make a good homemade dinner for my family everyday and they really appreciate it. Even if I have to start it the night before, we always eat a good homemade meal for dinner. And now a days I think this is a triumph !
My cooking tragedies
I still can't make decent homemade onion rings.

Delicious Stuffed Potato Pancakes
I made this recipe several times and my family loves it! I do take a short cut and use a box of dry potato pancake mix instead of making the pancakes from scratch. There is no need to precook the meat as it cooks along with the pancake mix. Use a non-stick pan and they will not stick. I serve this as a dinner meal topped with brown gravy and soup and vegs with it.

Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes
Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe but eliminated the cheese. Served these with roast beef for Sunday dinner and everyone loved it!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops
My family loved it! Marinaded the meat overnight with regular soy sauce and had no problem with a salty taste. I guess we like that. Adjusted the cooking time for the thickness of the chops I used. I will try this on an outdoor grill next time.
