It gets a tad bit to cozy around here with all the snow. Ilook for abreak and head south!!
My favorite things to cook
I love things that are easy and make people go "ummmm!"
I have some goofy diet things that I eat.. (email me and I'll share!)
I love to cook a pot roast.. fried chicken..homemade soup.
..hot rolls...Pies and cookies!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always have chicken soup and home made rolls for dinner on Christmas eve.
Our kids now have the same exact (recipe from "mom")
dinner with their families.
My cooking triumphs
My apple pies would see for $35.00 in an up scale
restaurant or bakery!! I learned this 'art' early
on from my mother in law..
My cooking tragedies
I worked on this all day long, and was quite pleased with myself. As this was the first dinner I'd ever fixed for my cute husband...I took great pains not only with the recipe but also the "presentation" was
I had on my cute little apron and was all set for him to walk in the door and sweep me off my feet...and ADORE his beautiful dinner!
He cam in..laid his books on the sofa..smiled at me and said.."I hope that's not green peppers I smell" I spent the next 3 hours in the bathroom with the door looked. I and was never going to speak to him again!! He had totally ruined my fantasy.
After he apologized at least 72 times...I came out of the bathroom and we made peanut butter sandwiches!!
We're still making them (the sand's not the peppers ?) 40 years later!!
