Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
We live in Mobile,Al. and this is the standard gumbo recipe around here-GREAT- but,PERSONALLY, I don't use the oysters and not as much okra-just my preference.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: May 20, 2010
We're from Mobile,Al.(born, raised and still residing!)....in the South, sweet tea is like water-it's a staple....I've never used baking soda in mine and I've never even heard of it.....but, I can try it! Another way if you're pinched for time to do the actual steeping is run it through your coffee pot....just put your bags where the filter would go and start your pot, then add everything else to it! I saw some other members talking about mint leaves-we add lemon to ours; a sliced wedge or a splash of lemon juice..when I say "ours",I don't mean my family,I mean SOUTHERNERS! Enjoy!
