About this Cook
I work full time so I don't always have the energy to cook in the evening and those are the days a slow cooker is my best friend. I love to cook for people and seeing them enjoy a meal or bringing baked stuff to work - I work with all women and they love to eat!
My favorite things to cook
My family loves pasta so I cook alot of chicken recipes with pasta - my daughter loves "country" food like black eyed peas and biscuits and chicken and dumplings so I do that for her - I love to cook on the grill, too - I'll cook anything except a recipe that calls for yeast - I don't do yeast - it never works for me! I love to bake when the kids are home...
My favorite family cooking traditions
The only tradition that we have is that I make Italian sausage subs on Christmas Eve. My husband is Polish/Italian and his mother made them every Christmas Eve for her family so we've carried that on, too.

Best City Chicken
After all of the prep, we were very disappointed in the outcome - the meat was overcooked - the flavor was good, though...have one more package of city chicken meat left and next time will reduce baking time by at least 10 minutes..

Nan May's Snowballs
I hate to be Debbie Downer here but this was awful...I followed the recipe exactly and the cooked mixture was too soupy and would not roll into a ball to roll into the coconut - threw the whole mess into the garbage - I lived in Argentia, Newfoundland back in '64 and was excited to make this but no way...

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini
I made this last night and it is sooo good - used half Italian sausage and half Italian chicken sausage - used fresh tomatoes that I had frozen this summer - will definitely be making again this winter! (Two days later, we had leftovers and I had some leftover cooked red potatoes so I cut them into fourths and put in the soup - yum!)
