I LOVE my hubby. :) He's wonderful and amazing and supportive and I am beyond blessed. I don't ever cook for just me, but I love cooking for and feeding him. (he gained a lot of weight when we were first married haha)
My favorite things to cook
I love comfort foods. I admit it. I usually add more butter than called for when cooking, and add more when I eat it. I LOVE pasta! I make a lot of chicken, but I think that's more because I'm nervous about new flavors than because I like it so much. *^-^*
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for my wheat-intolerant MIL is always a challenge, but so far everything I've made for her has turned out great! Usually better than foods with wheat. The cake I made for her for my wedding was better than the actual wedding cake!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make a chicken dish with a cream cheese sauce. It looked and tasted like Elmer's Glue. Ugggh...

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf
Based on taste alone, I give this recipe five-stars. Very yummy! I followed the recipe exactly (even down to the apparently hard to find pineapple preserves- my Wal-Mart sells Smuckers brand) and I was SURE the topping would be sicky sweet and crunchy with sugar. It was not! However, based on my personal standards for meals, this is rather lacking in the healthful department, so I'd give it a 3-4 star rating. I will definitely be making it again, but adding onion, carrot, zucchini or whatever other vegetable I have that I can shred and add in. But again, that's just my opinion and has nothing to do with taste. This recipe as is has amazing flavor! My husband and I ate more than half in one meal. :)

Four Egg Yellow Cake
I made this as my first-ever from scratch cake and it turned out wonderfully! Using AP flour instead of cake flour did make it a trifle denser I guess would be the word, but that's how my husband loves it! He was eating it without the frosting! ha Great flavor and very very moist!

Austrian Chocolate Balls
Not nearly as hard to make as they taste! My husband gives it 4 stars even though he's not a huge chocolate eater- if you are a die hard, super rich chocolate fan, these are amazing and surprisingly quick and easy! The hardest part was making sure they didn't overcook since the cookie dough is so dark. Wonderful!
