This is a great soup recipe. I used chicken broth instead of the water & chicken boullion and simmered a ham bone in it for a while before tossing in my vegetables. I doubled the recipe so I have another night's meal waiting in the deep freezer!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

These are great cookies. Very easy, deliciously soft, and I got compliments from everyone who ate them. I made the recipe exactly as written and baked for 11 minutes.

Black Forest Cake I

I think this is a great cake. My family loved it. It was a bit dry - even though I only baked it 30 minutes - but the juiciness of the cherry filling balances out the dryness pretty well. Would like to try making it the day before next time, as others commented that it's more moist after sitting overnight. I did sprinkle a cherry juice/kirsch/sugar syrup on the cakes but I guess I should have used more...

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

These are seriously the best muffins I've ever made. I put them in a muffin basket for my husband's coworkers and the basket came back with the other kinds, but no leftover blueberry!

Authentic Middle Eastern Hummus (Chummus)

I enjoyed this recipe but found it really hard to get a good consistency in a blender. It's probably best to puree the cooked chickpeas in batches.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

I really wanted to love this recipe, but I just didn't. I was expecting it to be different, somehow. The cupcake has to be totally underbaked and still be in batter form in the center in order for the cookie dough not to get cooked, but even with a "liquid" cupcake center the cookie started baking. It tasted good, but not great, so I don't think I'd make them again. UPDATE - I sent these cupcakes to my husband's office and they received rave reviews from his coworkers. His boss called it "the best cupcake I've ever had in my life." So I guess my personal opinion on them doesn't matter!

Busy Mom Peach Cobbler

This was really delicious! I took the advice of another poster and reduced the amount of sugar, and since I only had 29 oz. cans of peaches and a 9x9 pan instead of 8x8 I ended up using most of the peaches from the larger can in order to have enough fruit in the cobbler. Not sure how it would be fruity enough with only a 15 oz can!!! I also sprinkled brown sugar on top instead of white sugar because I thought it would look prettier that way - So yummy!

Elizabeth's Extreme Chocolate Lover's Cake

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

I've been making this recipe for over 10 years and people always rave about them whenever I bring them anywhere. They're nearly foolproof and if you use insulated cookie sheets they never burn on the bottoms.
