New York Rye Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
I did make the changes of rye flour and reg bread flour and I did use 1/4 cup of water but it was the best rye bread. It rose so high that it hit the top of my bread maker. Delicious toasted. Has become a regular for us.

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
Read the reviews and was sure my polish husband would love it but was not a hit at our house- found the kielbasa changed consistency and became almost soggy.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
My husband also loved it. It has a bite ( I only used 1 tsp chili powder) but just adds to the appeal of this dish. A nice change from all the creamy chiken recipes. Only 5 pts on weight watchers .

Wassail Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
I made this for an open house we had for our new neighbors this Christmas. It was such a hit. Most had never had wassail and found it a real treat.

Sweet Corn Muffins

Reviewed: May 19, 2014
These are the best corn muffins we have ever eaten- at home or at a restaurant. They are sweet and a little crumbly - just the way we like them. Make sure you use paper liners because I learned the hard way - they will stick even to Teflon- we loved them any way - just had to dig them out!

Old Time Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
This version of chicken divan was just delicious and reaaly easy to make. I actually used left over turkey and it was still yummy. Not too rich - just right with the parm cheese

Raspberry Almond Coffeecake

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
This recipe was super easy and delicious. Only change I made was using Almond extract instead of vanilla in the batter. My husband gave it it a "9 1/2" which is a definate keeper. Prepared it while making sunday breakfast and served wam right out of the oven.

Grilled Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
We eat tilapia at least once a week. In Florida it is readily available and resonably priced, so this is the fish I used. My husband has some favorite recipes but I am always trying to come up with something new. I used my indoor stove top "BAR-B-Q" but made the recipe exactly as written. It is definately a keeper. Served with a fresh salad, parsley roasted potatoes and fresh carrots. Mild but flavorful.
