Lime Pear Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
I use the fat version but I want to recommend it to everyone who loves a light dessert. It can be made with other flavors and other fruits and makes a wonderful "take to the cookout party" recipe. Everyone I have ever brought it to loves it. Beverly

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Perfect. I didn't have lemon cake mix but I had lemon poppy seed bread mix and I then used that and followed your recipie. It was wonderful and I put some on each plate that I am giving to people who help us out during the year. (You know those same people....they plow your driveway, deliver your oil/gas, bring wood for winter, and delivery hubby's oxygen). It is festive and super, easy and fast to create. Thank you so very much for sharing it with all of us. It is a keeper in my home. Merry Christmas.

Bread Pudding III

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
Wonderful. Just like my Gramma used to make. I only suggest a bigger bowl to cook it in. a three quart instead of a 2 quart would work out better. Ours was absolutely YUMMY.

Coconut Oatmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2013
I added raisins. This is the same as the one my Grandmother used to make almost 70 years ago. Makes me smile because I loved her so much and it brings her right into our kitchen.

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
These were delicious and I will definitely make again. I substituted 3 tablespoons of cream cheese for the sour cream because I didn't have sour cream on hand. In increased the milk over double to make the gravy and it was wonderful. Hubby and I both finished them up. (I generally do not like meat and only take two or three bites...but with this recipe, I ate it all). Gobble gobble. Thanks for a nice new idea. Made them again and they were again. Wonderful. Thanks so very, very much this is a definitely keeper. Simple but so good.

Wild Rice and Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I made some changes re: other comments and also based on what I had in my freezer. For the rice I had homemade spanish rice so I used that instead of wild rice. I also had 1/2 peas & 1/2 lima beans as hubby will not eat broccoli. I took out the mayo and used sour cream in its' place and added finely minced scallions. Mixed it all up as instructed and MY hubby and I both loved it. I could not have come up with this wonderful recipe without Stacey Diehl's base. She led me to my mixture. Thanks very much Stacey, you made this a keeper for me.

Sweet Onion Pie

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
Thank you Andi. A wonderful recipe that will be made many, many times. We loved it. My hubby is very fussy and he went back for seconds. I noticed some said their crust was soggy. I used a regular pie crust, baked at 375 degrees F for 35 minutes then dropped down to 350 degrees for 10 more minutes. It was perfect in every way and I cannot say enough thanks for it. Yummo :-) Bev

North Carolina-Style Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
Thank you, Thank you....I have been trying various recipes for 6 years to try and get this taste down. You have made it possible for me to finally get it right. I tweaked a bit, not quite so hot and a little more sugar a wee bit less ketchup, but, stiring and tasting, I finally got it perfect with your recipe. Tons of thanks to you. My husband who does not like BBQ, loved this. The rub is perfect too. Hugs from an old lady to you Doug.

Mr. Echols, wish I could give you 6 stars. This was awesome. Glad I made a lot of it. I put it into two jars and will give one to my DD who cannot have any of the "bad" stuff in those mixes that I can't stand either. This is AWESOME. Thanks sooo much for sharing with us. Bev

Premier Cheesecake Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Ok...you are to blame :-) I think we each, hubby and I, gained 5 lbs. by eating one inch piece of this amazing dessert!!! Fantastic. But, you must have a crowd to share it with or I will feel sorry for you. I must bring pieces to neighbors to help us eat this delicious concoction.
