Lemon-Cream Cheese Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2012
Delicious! I have made these several times now... the last time adding a few sprinkles of raw sugar on top of the frosting. The little bit of crunch was just the icing on the cake... so to speak. :)

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
Fantastic. I brought this to a picnic in the park and received rave reviews from my foodie friends. I should also mention that there was some chaos when I arrived, and a glass of red wine was spilled over the cheese ball... and I think I will make it this way every time from now on. De-lish!

Turtle Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
I made this for a coworker's birthday, and it was a hit. Several people asked for the recipe and I was happy to direct them here! I wonder if this could be made with an 8-inch round cakepan? Presentation was the only area where the cake seemed to be lacking.

Pretzel Turtles

Easy to make, but needed a little something else for me to get excited about them.

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Delicious! I thought the recipe looked great, but I didn't have everythng on hand. I used 2 cups of Panko (so crunchy and delicious), 1 cup of grated Parmesan, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder and 1 T of Italian seasoning for the breading. Baked for 15 minutes on each side at 425 and got rave reviews from the hubby. Thanks!

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
This was quite tasty, although I have made manicotti recipes that were far less work. I omitted the spinach -- my family isn't a fan, and I prefer fresh spinach in salads -- took the advice of others and used 1/2 lb. beef and 1/2 lb. sausage, and frankly, I could have used basil and parsley from my spice rack and probably not missed it. I made the white sauce as listed here, but when I tasted it, it was WAY too salty. I tossed that batch of white sauce and started over with about 60% less chicken boullion granules, and it was far better. I think I'll use the white sauce again on other receipes. My family pronounced the finished result delicious.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Soooo delicious, just melt-in-my mouth good. I scaled it down to four servings and followed the directions otherwise. Perfect.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
My husband gave this an A+ -- really excellent. The only alteration I made was that I sprinkled the chicken breasts with parmesan cheese after about 25 minutes. At 30 minutes, the chicken was perfectly cooked. Thanks for a great recipe!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
I've made this twice now, and both times the pork has come out perfectly. Delicious! I rubbed the pork with garlic salt and crushed black pepper first, but otherwise followed the directions as stated.

Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
Today is the second time I've made this, and the second time we've loved it. I doubled the recipe and I'm leaving the cheese mix in the fridge so that this week, which is so busy for my family, we can quick throw together a sandwich and put it on the griddle. Delicious and easy... thanks!

Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Very easy, tasty dish! I followed directions, but after five hours I checked the pork temperature -- it was already fully cooked... and we weren't eating for another three hours. I kept it on warm, but it was really more "done" than I prefer. Next time, I'll shorten the cooking time and maybe use just a little less peanut butter -- then it will be perfect!

Parmesan Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Delicious and so simple. I put the butter, parmeson cheese and some minced garlic in the bottom of the dish. Halfway through baking, I sprinkled a little more garlic after I'd flipped the potatoes. Because I was baking something else at the same time (Best Chicken Ever from this site), I had to alter the cooking temperature and time. I cooked these at 350 degrees for 55 minutes and they came out perfect -- better, in fact, than the first time I made them following the exact cooking temp/time.

Best Chicken Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Amazing! This chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and delicious. I will definitely make it again! I wasn't sure how much onion and garlic to add as seasoning, but I made a few dashes, and that ended up being fine. Also, I had four large chicken breasts instead of six, but kept the same amount of sour cream and crushed corn flakes. Perfect.

Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Very good pie - every bite of it went tonight at a pie social, where it was up against some yummy pies. I followed the advice of other reviewers and added a bit more peanut butter and a few more spoonfuls of the whipped topping to the blended mix. I don't really care for whipped topping by itself, so I just topped the pie with crumbled Reese's peanut butter cups. It was like a peanut butter cheesecake - very rich!

I substituted romaine lettuce for the iceburg, and every bite of this salad disappeared both times I made it. Delicious!
