The Best Taco Seasoning

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
Fantastic. I added some cornstarch and a bit less salt. My boyfriend doubled the recipe and put it all on about one pound of meat and it was very spicy. A little goes a long way with this one. Just add a little at a time til you get the flavor you want.

so good. just be sure to draw as much moisture out of the zukes as you can. It can be watery, but still killer good. Spot on lasagna.

Beef Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I used corn tortillas as I'm gluten free and they fell apart a bit but was still tasty. I used prepared enchilada sauce too. Didn't have shredded cheese so I used sliced colby and it was great. Very tasty. Served with my black beans and rice.

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
I would've given it 5 stars but I gave it four because I felt it needed kicked up a bit more. I didn't follow any reviews, just did my own thing. I followed everything except I added salt and pepper to the egg and also water. I added salt, pepper, parsley, and red pepper flakes to the "bread crumbs" which was in my case gluten free flours. I added half a cup sour cream mixed with 1-2 tbsp cornstarch to 3/4 cup chicken broth. It took double the cooking time, perhaps because my chicken was still a bit frozen. I saw no need to saute the mushrooms at all. They were perfectly cooked. I didn't add cream of mushroom soup because of the gluten I can't have and there's always so many preservatives in that stuff. The dish could've used onion maybe, and def more mushrooms. Otherwise it was wonderful, and made a delicious gravy to put over rice. YUM

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
fantastic! won't ever buy store bought again, too much MSG in things anymore. I do like to add some cayenne or red hot or both depending on my mood as I like things spicy

Taco Seasoning

this was good but felt like something was missing. added red hot to find that "something". On another random note it gave us some crazy gas, but then I suppose all mexican does lol

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I made this with my gluten free flour blend I found on the land o lakes web site (which I now use for everything) and it was yummy. I made them into cupcakes and threw in some walnuts and made a coconut frosting, per my bf's wishes, and it was GF heaven!

General Tsao's Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
didn't do the orange cuz I'm not a fan out citrus chicken, didn't do the peanut oil as I had none and used all sesame oil instead. I went nuts with the chiles because I like spice but found out that a little go a LONG way and a LOT go even FURTHER. But that was my fault and no fault of this recipe. I've been searching so long for a tasty tso recipe that didn't turn into jello and I've finally found it. It was flat out amazing. Thank you!

so simple, so GOOD. Has to be cold rice. I've used brown, white and sticky rice leftover from chinese takeout and each time was GREAT!

Pork Chops with Dill Pickle Marinade

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I hate to do this but I wish I could give this a half star. I thought the nay sayers on here were just hating on pickle juice before I tried it ...but after trying it they were being nice! Keep in mind here that I LOVE pickles. They were a comfort food to me growing up, drinking the juice and all! But this was a disaster. They turned green and weren't moist. My pickle obsessed bf hated it too. I never have leftovers in my house, but this time I did. :( VERY disappointing

Peppery Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I like spicy but this has a bit too much pepper to be edible. I cut the amount of pepper in half. I also do 3/4 the amount of soy as it tends to be too salty for me, subbing water for the rest of the soy. Otherwise satisfies a cravin for chinese
