Cheater Pot Pie
I chose this recipe because I had 2 large chicken breast that needed to be used. I had a bag of frozen mixed vegetables but no pie crust, so I remember reading somewhere that someone mentioned Bisquick as a topper but I did not have any. I did have a can of regular butter biscuits (not the layered kind) so I gave it a try. I also decided to add an onion when I cooked the chicken. I then added the mixed vegetables, 2 cans of soup (one cream of chicken and one cream of celery) and milk. I also thought it was slightly bland so I added pepper, garlic powder and a teaspoon of worstershire sauce. The flavor was great! I rolled out the canned butter biscuits extremely thin and placed them on top. I did not put any biscuits on the bottom. I really liked the flavor of the filling, but I did not care for the biscuits on the top. The pot pie was not dry at all. I will make this recipe again, but I will not use canned biscuits.

Country Fried Squash
I followed this recipe with one exception, I used Italian seasoned breadcrumbs in place of cornmeal. I used yellow crookneck squash. I like it sliced thin. I cooked it in my fry daddy (deep fryer) on 300 degrees. These squash were delicious. Next time I will probably use a little more salt and pepper. That is the only change I would suggest.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu
I cooked this just as the recipe instructed. First of all, spray your dish with cooking spray or use a liner on this one. The stuffing really sticks to the sides. I cubed my chicken and my ham. I cooked it on high for 2-1/2 hours due to time. It was fully cooked and hot. I should have read the reviews about adding the cheese and stuffing about an hour before serving (30 minutes on high). The stuffing was mushy. It would have been better if it was crunchy. I also think that it was too much stuffing for me. My box was only 6 oz. I suggest using less. I think I will try breadcrumbs next time, but you can use crackers, crutons, etc. I will also use more cheese (we love lots of melted cheese). Overall it was very good and I will definetely cook it again!
