About this Cook
When I was 8 years old, I started baking my great-grandmother's Wacky Cake recipe all by myself, and I've loved cooking and baking ever since!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make casseroles--you can't go wrong with them--comfort food that features multiple food groups in one dish--yum! I also love to cook many types of chicken dishes, as well as Italian, and Mexican and just about anything else that looks good! My all-time love in the kitchen is baking, however! There will never be enough time to make every dessert that I want to try! My favorites are anything chocolately!
My cooking triumphs
Cakes are hard to make really good from scratch, but the best one I've made was Red Velvet. It takes some time and special attention to mix the ingredients just right, but the results are fabulous!
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make some cornbread, but I accidentally put in too many eggs and when it baked they eggs rose to the top and formed a very weird crust.

Dirt Cake III
I loved this! However, I left the butter out, because it just seemed completely unnecessary. Why add those extra calories when it tastes great without it? Layered the cookie crumbs and pudding mixture in a flower pot. A very fun and creative dessert!

Dirt Cake I
I loved this, but as written it could used some tweaks. I left the butter out, because it just seemed completely unnecessary. Why add those extra calories when it tastes great without it? I used one package of oreos (14 oz.) and that was plenty. Also, I think the recipe should only call for an 8 oz. tub of cool whip; I used 12 oz. and it made way too much pudding mixture. I couldn't fit it all in the pot. A very fun, creative and yummy desert!

Honey Walnut Shrimp
The flavor was pretty good but I thought it was too rich.
