Grandmother's Bread Pudding

The Custard Sauce "makes" this recipe! Next time I will use less raisins. Very moist. I think the spices need a little adjustment, could taste ginger too much. Overall, so good!!!( But you must make the sauce to go w/ this.)

Strawberry Streusel Muffins

Berry moist! Added more sugar and vanilla to the batter. 15 min. at 425 was perfect. I sprayed muffin tins and cooled 15 min. Wow! I think the topping really made this recipe! I added more cinnamon to the topping as well. I loved them!

Chocolate Waffles I

Awesome taste! So good! Easy to prepare. A nice light chocolate taste and cake-like. This is a keeper! I served mine w/ butter and powdered sugar which tripled the yum factor. I didn't change a thing! Thanks Jenny69 for this perfect recipe!!

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Not that great. Not enough meat sauce to top it off & my ravioli stuck together after it was cooked. Messy and time consuming. Too much work and costly to make.

Banana Crumb Muffins

OMG over-the-top delish!!! I added cinnamon, vanilla & nutmeg to the batter, as others had. This recipe made 6 "Jumbo" muffins perfectly! Wow, so moist and very hearty! I also used veg. oil in the batter instead of butter....I may add some chopped walnuts next time for added texture.

Dave's Mocha Chicken

Unfortunately, a "no-go" for us. :( Really thought it sounded good, but while the sauce was heating, it smelled unappealing. The color was very dark brown, almost black and smelled like something "burnt"...like tabacco. Not appealing at all. After the sauce was done, the flavor tamed down and wasn't too bad on the chicken...just not great. The sherry made a very strong alcohol flavor and the coffee did not seem to complement this recipe. The first thing my Hubby said to me when he took his first bite..."This has alcohol in it.(?)...Not what I was aiming for in taste...and I will keep my "coffee" in my morning mug,lol. Sorry Dave...two stars for the creativity and uniqueness in this recipe.

Prego® Easy Chicken Cacciatore

Very good and so easy! I will make again. The sauce gave the chicken a nice flavor and chicken stayed moist. Great to make when you do not have much time to fuss.

Slow Cooker Chops

This is classic comfort food. Very easy and lots of flavor. I did brown the meat and season w/ pepper, garlic powder and onion seasoning first. Also, mixed the water w/ the pan drippings as another poster suggested. Added meat & potatoes @ the same time. Cook on low 6-7 hrs. Add green beans last hr. Perfect! My Hubby says,"Pretty darn good!"

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Very good! Great flavor and easy to cook. Yes, add more spinach. Alfredo sauce was great. I used the dry packet with no problem on the flavor. The pesto really added some zing to it.

French Toast I

Easy to make and tastes great! Nice to have on a cool Fall morning. I warmed the maple syrup before serving. Perfect! I think I will try raisin bread next time for a change. :) Thank you Jan for a great recipe!

Cottage Meatloaf

Very moist and flavorful. Could have used more bread crumbs I think. The sauce on top was ok, a little too tangy for me. But it was good and even my 5 yr. old picky eater loved it!!

Spiced Pork Chops

This should be called Sweet Spiced Pork Chops! Although very good, more sweet than spicy. But we all loved it! I did use red wine in place of the ketchup. And I did use the reserved liquid, added milk and a little flour to make a gravy.( As another poster commented on) The flavor reminded me a little of Chinese spare ribs.

Brandied Candied Sweet Potatoes

Wow, so very good! I added a splash of vanilla, a little nutmeg and cinnamon too! Just enough to bring out all the flavors. This is too die for delicious! Everyone must try! And also added a little less brandy. Perfect! I will make again and again!
