About this Cook
I am retired but operate a sewing and alteration business out of my home.
My favorite things to cook
vegetables I make a mean beef stew
My cooking triumphs
My girls always looked forward to my spaghetti sauce when they would come home from college. I started adding grated zucchini to my banana bread and it is so moist, also instead of vanilla extract-I use banana extract.
My cooking tragedies
I was told that my rice pudding could be used as an anchor!!! Not able to make a good bread pudding either.

Soy-Sesame Dressing
I've used nothing but this dressing for a year-I put it on salads, vegetables, and even meats. I make a double batch and make sure I always have some in the refrig. I kind of make it a little different each time, now using balsamic vinegar instead of rice wine.

Sweet Sweet Potato Casserole
This is a great recipe, I won't wait for holidays to make it because I love sweet potatoes and this is a great way to cook them.

Cream Cheese Christmas Cookies
After baking my first batch, I had to re read the recipe, to cut them at 1/4" and baked for 12-15 minutes, they were overbaked so I started cutting them at 1/2" and baked for 12 minutes. In my oven that is just about right. Also, I liked the nuts chopped rather than whole on the top. They are easy to make and look nice on a Christmas platter.
