Honey Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
This bread was great! I made it to go with dinner and, still warm, there were a few sour spots. (however, the sour spots didn't stop us from eating it that's how good we thought it was!) We ate the second loaf the next day and there were no sour parts at all. Maybe I did something wrong, I had to measure out my yeast by teaspoons, not packets, so maybe my measurements were off. Would that effect the sour spots? It was still delicious. Thanks for the great recipe! I'll be making this again and again!

Awesome angel food cake recipe! I was so afraid I was going to do something wrong and mess up the recipe, but I followed the directions exactly and it came out beautifully! Thank you so much for the recipe, I will never look for another!

Busy Mom Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
For some reason this didn't turn out very well for me. It wasn't bad, but I've definitely made a better cobbler before (I chose this recipe due to its simple ingredients and easy prep). I did have to make a few changes, so maybe that's why it didn't turn out so great. I didn't have self-rising flour, so I used 1 cup of all-purpose flour plus 1 tsp. of baking powder. I used 1/2 a stick of butter for the bottom of the pan and that was plenty! And I didn't have 2% milk, so I did half skim and half whole milk. Things I'd do differently are: lessen the amount of milk in the flour mixture (it ended up baking with a weird texture), add more peaches, put the peaches in first then drop the flour-milk mixture on top, and sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar. I've had/made better, but overall it was a pretty good cobbler

Poor Man's Cookies

Wonderful nut, egg, butter, and milk free cookies!! The middles were a little gooey at first, but once they cooled they held their shape just fine and tasted wonderful! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Vegan Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I made these for a friend with egg, dairy, and corn allergies. They were AWESOME! I halved the recipe, added a *little* less oil, and replaced the baking powder with baking soda and cream of tartar. I will definitely be making these again. Thank you so much for the recipe!

Spiced Apple Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
These were pretty good, very moist. I left out the diced apple since it didn't appeal to me and the anise seed. The texture was a bit chewy and there wasn't very much flavor, but that might have been partially due to leaving out the diced apple. Next time I'll be sure to add more spices and maybe an egg. Other than that, these were terrific!

Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
AMAZING AMAZING cheesecake recipe!! I've made this 5 times now and it always turns out wonderfully! I will never look for another strawberry cheesecake recipe ever again! I always have enough leftover strawberry sauce to make 2 cheesecakes with since I don't serve it with the strawberry sauce like recommended in the directions.

Brownies-Allergy Free!

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Considering these were allergy free they were GREAT!! However there was way too much oil in them. After I baked them, I cut them into individual pieces and placed them on paper towels to see if the paper towels would absorb some of the grease. Two days later and I'm still replacing the paper towels they're sitting on. Next time I'll cut down on the oil, otherwise these were fantastic!
