About this Cook
My heritage is Mexican, Italian, Scottish, and Czech. I love carbs, vegetables, and a good medium-rare steak. I think variety in cooking is important and I am currently trying to make my own collection of fabulous recipes that I can share when I have my own family someday.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad grew up with spaghetti every Sunday since his mother is Italian(my mom however, doesn't love pasta as much as the rest of us), but when we're lucky (and on all special occasions) my dad still makes the old family recipe which to this day is probably my favorite thing.
My cooking triumphs
I think the best thing I've made so far is a lowfat Mexican Chicken Stew. Yum!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole
This was good, i added extra veggies just because i like them but this recipe is good as-is.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana
Love this soup! I was trying to recreate the one from the Olive Garden but this came out even better. I ommitted the bacon and i substituted kale for spinach and spicy italian sausage instead of mild.
