Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
This was an awesome recipe. I used my Ninja to blend everything together and to smooth out my sweet potatoes. I also used white sweet potatoes instead.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
I have made this receipe for over 16 years now. It is a recipe that my mom shared with me. No matter where I go people always ask if I am bringing these and my husband has had me make double batches because everyone fights over them. I add way more than 1 cup of borwn sugar and as many have already said....the more the better. You definitely will not go wrong with making these and trust me when people will request that you make them again and again. It is truly a VERY simple recipe and great for the beginner cook.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
Used Wishbone's Balsamic Vinegarette instead of olive oil and balsamic vinegar separately (I was out of the balsamic vinegar). Also used the new A-1 steak rub. Threw in a crock pot and cooked for 8 hours. Turned out tender and perfect!!

Sweet 'n' Hot Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
This recipe was very easy to make. I used someone elses suggestion of using 1 cup apricot jam and 1/2 cup water for the nectar and dried apricots and used the fresh ginger. This is truly a phenomenal recipe!!!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I opted to use the bake/broil method since I ran out of propane for my grill. I baked it at 450 for 12 minutes and broiled it for 5 min. It tasted awesome and the only thing I'd recommend when using this method is use lemon juice and pepper to make it not so salty to the taste buds. Other than that the recipe was AWESOME!!! I served it with brown rice, corn (for my picky hubby and son)and brocoli and cheese (for myself).

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
My mother has been making this for years and handed the recipe off to me. After years of making "runny" pies I have finally perfected it. The secret to making it not runny is to use regular cream cheese and whipped cream. Using fat free or reduced makes the pies runny....probably because of the less fat. So my word of advice is use the regular stuff and skip the reduced/non-fat items. Using the regular items I no longer have to chill the 1st layer. Good luck to all!!!

Cara's Creamy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
My picky family absolutely LOVED these and my friends too. I made Texas garlic toast as a side item for it. The nice thing is if you half the recipe but use the same 12 oz amount of shells you have more than enough filling for the shells. I recommend buying a second jar of Spaghetti sauce though if your family likes things a little more saucy. Other than that KUDO's to the creator.
