About this Cook
I am a 33 year old wife and mother. I have 2 boys, 7 and 4. I am a stay at home mom that enjoys being with friends and family. I am definitely a football fan at heart. I remember being very little and watching the LOS ANGELES RAMS with my dad. BUT AM DEFINITELY A CHARGERS FAN!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking my nanas Mexican recipes. From her soups to main dishes. Definitely love to bake...cookies, cakes etc...I am much better at baking than cooking, but i am doing a lot better at the cooking thing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The day after thanksgiving we make turkey stew with the leftovers. Two days before Christmas we bake and decorate sugar cookies with the family. On Christmas eve we get together with the family and make a dip for veggies and french bread called bonjacalda (think i spelled it right) made with sardines, garlic and olive oil. We have ham or lasagna on Christmas day.
My cooking triumphs
My triumph this year was cooking a turkey by myself!!!!!! (well with a little of my hubby's help).
My cooking tragedies
I started to cook some spaghetti sauce then stepped outside for a moment when i ran into a neighbor and started talking, and talking and...well you know....talking until i heard the smoke alarm in the house! Well lets just say, the spaghetti sauce was literally TOAST! Including the plastic spoon!

Italian Meat Loaf
Lisa! Awsome recipe! I did everything you said except the green pepper. I only had red. It worked. My husband loved it. I loved it. I was so proud at how it came out that i served it to the neighbors and they loved it. I added some cut up potatoes and baby carrots and cooked it it the oven at 350 instead. What a great recipe. Kudos!!!!

Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Delight
This is the coolest sweet snack. After the kids went to bed my husband and I had a craving during a movie. We did not have much in the cupboard. I remembered the recipe and looked it up. It was a hit. We stuffed ourselves silly. I made it the next day for my 7 year old. He loved it. GREAT SNACK!

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers
These burgers were great! My husband put extra bread crumbs and some chopped green bell pepper. Right before we fried them we patted some flour on them. My neighbors son had never had turkey burgers. He came over last night and went through 2 burgers! It was a hit!
