Fancy Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
This was a really good recipe and pretty easy to make. However, it was more of a cake texture than a brownie and the dough was difficult to spread. It might have been better if there was one more egg in the recipe. On the other hand, the way it is was good with fudge chocolate frosting

Pizza Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This recipe was fantastic! My then 16 year old daughter made it for the county fair & took the show! She reduced sugar to 1 tablespoon and the cheddar cheese to 1-1/2 cups. Mixed 1/2 cup of the cheddar 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese & sprinkled over top of muffin for added color & texture. She made with & without minced pepperoni. Wonderful flavor!

Sweet Potato Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
We had leftover Sweet Potato fries and made them into mashed potatoes (1st steaming to soften) with some milk, butter, nutmeg, cloves. They worked excellently in the biscuits! We also added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the recipe to add some flavor. These were delicious with honey.

Spring Omelet

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This recipe was supposed to be for a 4H Foods meeting, but we ran out of time and didn't get to make it, so I made it with my own teenage daughters. Was very good, but definitely need to saute' the asparagus longer. We also added orange pepper to the sauteed veggies to add a little more color. Very good!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
This recipe was entirely too buttery. The butter took over all the flavor and created a greasy feeling while eating them. In addition, they weren't a very chocolatey brownie. I followed a previous review that recommended beating the eggs before adding them to make sure you don't have a cake brownie, despite this they were very cake-like. I don't know why we had such bad luck with this recipe but we probably won't make it again.

Upside Down

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2014
I made this last night with only two changes. I omitted the tumeric, as I had none, and I prepared the cauliflower as written but cooked it in the microwave instead of the oven to save time (mine cooked it in about 9 minutes). I agree with other reviewers who say it is a bit bland, but I would still make this again with a few adaptations (and adding the tumeric!).
