My grandfather was Italian and I will always remember his homemade Spagetti. Oddly enough, the secret ingredient was cloves. Believe me, it was THE BEST. My sister ruined a batch of yeast rolls by overcooking them. I turned them in crumbs and made pumpkin bread and butter pudding out of them. Fantastic. I wrecked a cheescake. In anger, I stirred the pie into a mushy mess. After I calmed down I pulled out a fluted bowl and alternately layered the mush with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. End result? A Fabulous crowd pleasing parfait
