Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
Very good recipe and easy to make. I cooked in slow cooker on high for 3 hours and low for 3 hours and turned out great. I did cut back on the thyme as others suggested - used about 3/4 tsp. All in all an excellent recipe.

Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Very good tomato sauce that shows off the flavour of tomato. I doubled the recipe and used San Marzano tomatoes for authentic flavour. There isn't a lot of liquid in San Marzanos so the sauce is thick enough without adding tomato paste. Also used dried basil and added at the beginning along with adding one extra tbsp of balsamic to the doubled recipe. A solid "go-to" tomato sauce.

Another of my fav BBQ sauces..this one is a little more sweet - but very good. I leave everything as is and it's great.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
WOW. I have made numerous BBQ sauces and this one ranks as one of my top favs. Only thing I do different is to let simmer for 2 hours and not 20 minutes.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Extremely tasty and quite rich. To cut some richness, replace 1 can of soup with equal amount of veg or beef broth. As with any meat and slow cooker, I always brown my meats before adding them. I also shredded the meat with a fork and served on buns or with mashed... Freezes well.

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Very simple and amazingly good. I added 1/2 cup toasted almond slivers as well as the raisins and it made a nice contrast in texture and flavour.

Mary's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I made and served this meatloaf to the family and everyone raved about how delicious and tasty it was. One of the best meatloaves I've made. I usually make larger quantities and freeze 1/2 of the meals (where freezable)and found that there was too much bread called for and used only 3/4 of the bread when 'doubling' the recipe. Otherwise and easy and tasty hit.
