About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
i make a mean yule log. i also get very excited when i make up recipes and it turns out they actually work.
My cooking tragedies
... one time i tried to make a quick pizza by getting a pre-made refrigerated pizza and adding a bunch of toppings. one of the things i wanted to add was tomatoes. basically the pizza crust was dry the cheese wouldn't brown, there were tomato seeds everywhere and soggy flavorless onions. It was inedible.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies
these were some good peanut butter cookies. i actually halved this recipe so i increased the peanut butter and the flour by 1/4 cup. even though i only made half the recipe called for i still came out with 3 dozen cookies. i made half normally and half with dark chocolate hershey kisses pressed into the middle. make sure to refrigerate thoroughly before you bake these guys or else you can hardly shape them into balls.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I
these were so good. i went a little heavy on the salt and i think it made them even better. i upped the cocoa as everyone suggested. they came out great although i had to cook mine a solid 12 minutes. they were still chewy and everything.

Chocolate Chip Muffins
these muffins are realllllly good. i used a whole cup of milk and some extra oil like most suggested. i only had normal sized chocolate chips so i used those and increased to a whole cup of chocolate chips. my muffins baked in less time than the recipe suggests- so make sure to keep an eye on them. and just to share this gem of knowledge- every time i bake muffins the thin aluminum foil kind of muffin cups work so much better than the thicker non-stick metal ones. im not sure why- but the flimsier muffin cups seem to cook more evenly and the bottom never burns or gets tough.
