Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
These turned out great! I was looking for something simple to go with sausage gravy and these came out very well for my first attempt. Will make again!

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
I love this recipe - I've already used it 3-4 times. The 1st time I thought it was gonna be too runny so I added more flour - will not make that mistake again! It was way too thick. The recipe is perfect as is in my opinion. Will make again soon!

Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
Tried this a week ago. My son is a banana fanatic so he's constantly wanting that "banana bread" now. I usually put syrup on my FT but it tasted a bit odd with the banana. But as for the recipe itself, very good for kids in the morning!

Pigs in a Blanket

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
Great recipe. I went with crescent roll dough instead and halved the cheese slices before putting in. When I use a full slice with the crescent rolls, it makes the bottoms come out kinda soggy. My whole family loved them - will cook them again!

Bacon Cheese Fries

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Just made these, they were awesome! Added some soul seasoning to the fries (always do) and some chili powder. Use bacon bits instead of regular bacon. Left out the onion b.c my son doesn't care for them. Served them with sour cream and hidden valley ranch ranch seasoning mixed together. Will make again!

Frogmore Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
Great recipe! My friend's grandmother fixes this every time we have a big get together. She would never give me the exact ingredients though - just vague numbers, lol. And living in SC - I had to know! We just cooked this and it turned out very well. The corn was a lil overcooked but nothing salt and butter won't fix ;) Will make many times in the future!

Sweet Lime Iced Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
This is a wonderful twist to the tea my family & I always drink (regular black tea). We usually do 1c of sugar for a gallon but I found it necessary to add the extra 1/2c because of the limes' flavor. My fiance wasn't too fond of it (he's not a lime person) but my son and I thought it was wonderful! I may try to add a some lemon juice in there next time (2 lemons & 2 limes) just to see how that goes. Thanks for the recipe!

I love this dip. Takes minutes to prepare & my son loves it. Very good with crackers, chips, veggies and anything else we can think to dip in it!

Rich N Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I never give bad reviews but I really, really didn't care for this. Neither did my hubby or my son. It has great reviews and I followed the recipe to a T but all I could taste was sour cream. Great texture but just no flavor. Not sure if I'll make it again or not - if I do, I'll definitely substitute the sour cream for milk or cream and I might add bacon or other ingredients suggested by others.

Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
This turned out great. Do NOT take anyone's advice to melt the white chocolate in a microwave as opposed to the stove. I smelled something burning and happened to look over and see the top completely black. Thankfully I was able to salvage the rest of it (the bottom also burned). Besides that though, everything went well. Make sure to coarsely chop up the oreos as well (I did mine into 4 pieces each). Throw away all the loose crumbs to prevent your fudge from looking gritty/chalky.

Parmesan Fondue

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I loved this. The only adjustments I made were I added a dash of black pepper to it, used garlic powder instead of garlic salt & used it on pasta as some others suggested. Will make again!

French Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
These were delicious. My whole family loved them. Quick and simple and a great side for lots of dishes. We added salt, pepper, chili and garlic powder to them for flavor (I add that to all the fries we cook). Will definitely make again!

Creamed Beef for SOS

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I created this for supper one night when I didn't have anything else to cook but had all the ingredients on hand. Nothing fancy but really good - the whole family liked it! I added some red pepper flakes in it just for some added taste. Served it over biscuits, all of it was gone in a matter of minutes. Will make again :)

Sweet Potato Pie VIII

Very good pie. Very similiar to a recipe my mother gave me - we just omit the whipping cream and use cinnamon and allspice along with the other spices mentioned. I will be making this for years to come!

Homemade Chicken Parmigiana

Love this. I made a few alterations to it (brined the chicken, used some panko crumbs along with regular crumbs) and made my own sauce. Hubby and son loved it, will make again!

Pancakes I

Great simple recipe. Added a little vanilla and cinnamon. Loved the results. They didn't taste as good once they fully absorbed the syrup but by the time I got to that taste, they were almost completely gone :) Will make again.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Very tasty. Added some honey mustard, liquid smoke, two types of BBQ (Original & Hickory) and used boston butt meat. Boiled it for a little bit before cooking to speed up the time. Will make it again and again!

Pizza Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I did my own take on this. Instead of beef, we used pepperoni slices. Stuck to the recipe but decided to dip them in the sauce once they were cooked. I didn't cut them in half - just kept them whole. This cut down on the mess & was delicious. Next time we make them I will use the ground beef just to see which I like better.

Japanese Style Deep Fried Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Amazing recipe. I tried frying my shrimp just like this after buying panko for a Chicken Parmesan recipe I found on here. Turns out great every time - my 4 y/o and picky husband loved them as well! (As another person stated, its best to let these sit at least 4-5 minutes while letting your oil heat up. The breading adheres better this way.)
