Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
We grilled out for Father's Day - had 9 people eat this chicken and not one person complained. It was gone in no time and almost everyone wanted another piece! The taste is amazing and it was so juicy. I noticed in the reviews some people did not halve their chicken - this was a must (I imagine it wouldn't have been nearly as flavorful all the way through if it was left whole.) I also let it marinate 5 hours before cooking (next time I'll do it overnight.) We will definitely cook it again!

Carol's Baked Ziti Casserole

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
This was a wonderful recipe. Ended up having it two nights in a row (no leftovers.) All 4 of us thought it was great. Could use a little seasoning but other than that I wouldn't change a thing!

Yogurt Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2013
My husband and the 3 kids eating it loved it, my best friend and I did not like it at all. He said it reminded him of lemon pepper chicken (I had to add pepper on his since he eats it on everything) - it didn't seem to improve the flavor much for me. Granted mine came out quite mushy (although I cooked it for what I thought was entirely too long.) It was juicy but lacking flavor for me.

Green Bean and Bacon Saute

Reviewed: May 16, 2013
Fixed these tonight and all 4 of us loved them. Will definitely fix again, the bacon added a nice flavor to the otherwise plain jane beans we normally have!

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
I read tons and tons of reviews on this and thought it couldn't go wrong. It rose beautifully, I flipped it, it stayed intact and smelled awesome. After it was done and I took it out of the pan, THEN it fell (and I cooked it 40 minutes instead of 25.) The very center of it on the bottom did not come out with the rest of the cake (no idea why.) And the flavor - I did not like it! Neither did my son or my husband (and we LOVE pineapple.) I'm not sure what happened (I did not add anything else besides the mix and the pineapple in its juices.) My mom and brother in law said it was great with the cool whip but I think that was because it masked the flavor. I hate to say it but I don't think I try it again.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
Loved this. Only thing I'd change was my choice of cornbread. The cornbread mix I used, Jiffy, was way too sweet for us. Otherwise, it had a great texture and flavor!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
I've now made this exactly as stated and with mayo instead of ranch dressing. Both were delicious. My family and friends all enjoyed it, each time it has disappeared in no time!

Awesome drink, loved the flavor and color. Hubby liked it as well, not nearly as sweet as we expected. Will have a few more in the near future! ;)

Johnsonville Easy Sausage Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
Made this last night and it disappeared in no time. Omitted the green peppers (no one here eats them) and used homemade crust. We had some Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage on hand so I made it with that - the cheese and sauce cooled the meat down some and it was perfect. Will make again!

Jager Bomb

My absolute favorite drink out there. First had one back in 2003 and have stayed faithful to them ever since, lol. I'll ask for this every time over anything else!

Johnsonville Italian Sausage Rigatoni

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
Made this last night minus the red peppers (no one here eats them) and the family and I really enjoyed it. I took one star away because of the pasta amount. It calls for way too much when you compare it to how much meat you have (at least for us.) Maybe a smaller pasta or halving it would help, we will cut the amount down the next time I cook this!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
I had to pick a recipe for All Recipes All Stars that I enjoy preparing and switch the beef it calls for with Johnsonville Italian Sausage. This was my pick and I'm so glad I did it! It tasted great and disappeared in no time. I learned in the past that this recipe calls for too much beans for us, so I only use one can. But otherwise, we keep it the same. Will make again using both!

Johnsonville Italian Sausage Sliders

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2013
Had these last night for supper and loved them. Mixed all the meat together so I can't tell you exactly what the ratio was but no one complained. We used the Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage. Served them with provolone and marinara sauce on potato rolls.

Watergate Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2013
Perfect recipe for watergate salad, minus the juice. I have to drain it else I'd end up with a soupy mess. This recipe reminds me of trips to Shoney's with my grandma 20 years ago, thank you for bringing a little of that back to me!

Family Tradition Watergate Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2013
Loved this recipe. Halved it as it was only for 3 of us. I omitted the cherries as I didn't have them on hand (the recipe says optional so I don't feel too bad about tweaking that part, lol.) The only thing was I felt it needed a little more pineapple for the amount of Cool Whip & pudding mix. This would be perfect for a baby shower or party. Next time I will half everything but the pineapple and see how that turns out :)

Quick Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2013
This was a nice change from the regular pumpkin roll we eat every year. I only had two issues with this, which is why I gave it 4 stars. One, 3 cups of confectioner's sugar was way too much for our liking. I tasted the icing at 2 cups and it was already much sweeter than expected. 3 cups was just entirely too much (I'm sure there are some out there with a sweet tooth that would love that much, just not us.) Two, I had issues with the cake falling apart. Every time I cut a slice, it would break in half. Definitely a moist cake with good flavor but it just didn't want to stay together. Overall, I'd probably make it again and use my own recipe for the icing. I'm also going to search around for a way to help it not fall apart next time. Thanks for the recipe Claire!

Basic recipe that we have always followed (minus the sugar.) Tried it with the sugar, didn't see much of a difference. We only use a cup of milk and it's the consistency we love.

Easy Venison Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Made this tonight, exactly as stated. I admit, I was a bit skeptical about the amount of water and stuffing that it called for. It turned out much better than I expected. My oldest son and husband loved it. My youngest wouldn't touch it after a bite and I thought it had a nice flavor. The only thing I'd change is swap out 1 lb of the ground venison burger for ground venison sausage (something I do for all my meatloaves normally to add more flavor) and cut down on a little bit of the stuffing (the seasoning in it was a bit much with the barbecue.) The barbecue was much more predominant than what I usually taste in my regular meatloaf with ketchup. Very nice change!
