Spaghetti a la Philly

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
We really enjoy this. I like adding extra seasonings to it as jarred spaghetti sauce never has enough in it for our family. Sometimes we mix it up and make meatballs instead of grounding the meat up in the sauce. Very quick and easy!

Frozen Caramel Latte

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
This was delicious. Like other reviews I used strong, already brewed coffee in place of the espresso. Great flavor and quick to make!

Peanut Butter French Toast

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
Love this. I've made it a few times now but had to tweak two things to make it easier and more to our liking. 1. We put the peanut butter inside two pieces of bread (it just did not like adhering to the outside with everything else and the flavor is maximized when its put inside the bread.) 2. We omitted the sugar (we've found it sweet enough without it.) I also use cinnamon swirl bread, just for extra flavor. Great breakfast treat!

Hamburgers Chili Dog Style

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
My husband and I really enjoyed this. He omitted the pickles (personal preference) but otherwise we followed the recipe as is. It was messy but what food with chili isn't? We haven't had a chili cheese burger since Checkers left town, this was just as good and we didn't have to go anywhere!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
Delicious and very easy to prepare. A bit too sweet for me but my husband and sons loved it. We halved it, next time we'll make the full thing as it was gone in no time (I'll just lower the amount of sugar slightly.) Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Dad's Spaghetti

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2014
My 6 ingredients or less recipe pick - loved it! Very quick and simple. I was concerned about the lack of seasoning (I did add some salt and pepper) but otherwise this was really good. We subbed Johnsonville ground sausage for the ground beef and that gave it a wonderful flavor. I will make this again!

Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2014
Following the recipe as-is, I really enjoyed these. My husband, however, had a few gripes. The hash browns would not crisp up properly, it needed a little less cheese and a little more seasoning. I will make this again with some changes and see if that will get more of an approval - great breakfast on-the-go idea!

Avocado Banana and Walnut Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2014
I was going to rate this 4 stars as I thought they needed a little more flavor but after watching both my kids and my husband (a self-proclaimed avocado hater) go for a 2nd muffin immediately after eating their first - I couldn't put anything less than 5. Healthy and great texture - this is a keeper! We'll play around with some add-ins to see if I can get it perfect (for me anyways ;) )

Delicious basic recipe. I was looking for the quickest, no frills deviled egg recipe to get rid of some eggs and this did not disappoint :)

How I've been making french fries to accompany hamburgers for years. Great seasoning mix. We always add chili pepper as well for a kick.

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
A few years back I thought I was being creative and different coming up with these from items in my fridge (we were completely out of pizza dough that night but everyone wanted pizza!) I see I was beaten to the punch but it's ok - still a great fast fix for dinner (and especially a hit with the kids!)

Fried Pork Chop

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
Another recipe just like my mother's growing up. Simple but delicious. We always had these with peas and rice. I'd cut my chop up and dip it in ketchup (don't judge, its delicious.) Great comfort food!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Delicious set it and forget it recipe! We omit the celery (personal preference) but follow the rest to a T. My best friend introduced me to this recipe about 4 years ago and it is loved by all here.

Easy Breaded Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
I've made this recipe many, many times. We alternate between flour and bread crumbs but I must admit the bread crumbs go over better with everyone. We use Italian bread crumbs for added flavor.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
Great recipe from my childhood. Like recipes with wine, we omitted the sherry as we don't keep it on hand. It was still perfect. Tasted just like my mom used to make!

Country Style Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
Average recipe for fried potatoes. Definitely need to heat the shortening up well before cooking them and make sure not to over stir them. Added some cheese on top after they were done.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Perfect mashed potatoes every time. I've been using this recipe for years now (it is almost identical to the recipe my mom has used her entire life) and will never stop using it. They are a hit with anyone that comes over for dinner!

Herbed Cream Cheese Omelet

One of the best omelettes I've ever had. I've replaced the cilantro with various herbs over the years and have had great results each time!
