My favorite things to cook
appetizers (stuffed mushrooms have become a family tradition and hit), drunken hot dots. Any italian dishes, various stuffed chicken recipes, casseroles, grilling, stir frying or pan cooking and slow cooking.

I've been cooking for the holidays for 14 years now with the largest group being 28 when all my in-laws came from out of state.

My cooking tragedies
I CAN'T BAKE!!! I'm not a baker. I try. But, I'm a much better cook. I save desserts for my sister in law or my mother for sure.

Baked Buffalo Chicken Dip
Big, BIG hit at all our functions every time I make this. I don't deviate from his recipe at all. Sometimes if I don't have blue cheese I just omit it and maybe increase the dressing slightly and sometimes I add red pepper flakses! Best recipe ever!

Chicken Salad with Apples, Grapes, and Walnuts
My go to chicken salad recipe now. Made over the holidays at parties and doing for football. LOVE it. Always a BIG hit. I make it as is, and I ONLY use green granny smith apples as the grapes and yogurt are sweet enough. After I prepare the salad, I split it in half and put walnuts in one half and no walnuts in the other half for non-nutters. I fill finger rolls, wraps and also fill lettuce leaves to appeal to different appetites. So delicous!

Turkey Pot Pie I
This was a great start. Consistency for me was perfect. Just enough "sauce"...veggies and meats...I added in some other veggies...but there was no FLAVOR! That was my only problem! So I'm saving this and will remake and rework the spices. Thank you for the recipe. =)
