About this Cook
I have always loved to cook, always looking at new things to make. Alot of trial and error recipes.......that's what family and friends are for.
My favorite things to cook
Anything easy that looks like I spent a long time in the kitchen making.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Breakfast....lots of french toast, Holiday cheesecakes, greek pasta salad, dirt cake.....oh the memories!
My cooking triumphs
ThanksGiving of 2008 (dinner for 11 people) I made the whole meal by myself started cooking and baking 3 days in advanced......couldn't wipe the smile off my face from hearing all the stuffed people. LEFT OVERS!!!!!!! Every one went home with them. It was like looking at a buffet line :)
My cooking tragedies
First pie I ever made for my husband from scratch with a lattuce top overflowed and caught fire in the oven. Pie was saved......and so was the marriage.....just kidding...he loved it

Rhubarb Salsa
This was very good. My 3 yr old grandson loved it. I didn't use limes, I used 4 Tablespoons of lime juice and instead of jalapeno's I used salsa peppers and I also added a half can of rinsed and drained black beans

Very good, I think the next time I will add a teaspoon or more of cinnamon

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip
I give this a 10. It is way better than Apple Bee's by far. You just have to make sure to really drain and squeeze out your spinach so that your dip does not become runny. I have made this a favorite for my events.
