This was really good. I'm new to cooking and I was so excited that this tasted so good for lunch for me, my fiance and his sister. I followed advice of other reviewers and put frozen chicken breasts instead of regular or precooked and I omitted a cup of water. I just took them out before serving and it was incredibly easy to shred them. (something I've never done before) I put it all together and cooked it over night. I woke up just to turn off the crock pot, then let it sit there for a couple of hours until lunch time. I turned it back on to heat back up, while I prepared the tortilla, then shredded the chicken.
I served it with a side salad and self-serve bowls of avocado, grape tomatoes cut in half, grated mexican blend cheese, sour cream, the suggested baked corn tortillas, tabasco sauce and medium salsa. It was fun and like tacos or something, everyone could doctor it to their tastes if they prefer it hot or like a lot of cheese, etc. It really was yummy and easy.
Not that cheap for me, because I didn't have all those spices and ingredients already, but now I have them for future recipes!
I definitely recommend it.
